Abstract: A checking method and line for checking a tyre for vehicle wheels. The tyre is associated with a model associated with a setting for image acquisition devices. Once the model is obtained, preliminary images of the tyre are acquired, from which at least one adjustment value representative of at least one geometric characteristic of the tyre is obtained. A deviation between the at least one adjustment value and a respective reference value associated with the model is then calculated. The setting associated with the model of tyre is then adjusted based on the calculated deviation and the tyre is then inspected to look for possible production defects by acquiring images of at least part of the surface of the tyre using the image acquisition devices, set according to the adjusted setting.

  • Patent number: 10986341
Abstract: A method of signaling additional chroma QP offset values that are specific to quantization groups is provided, in which each quantization group explicitly specifies its own set of chroma QP offset values. Alternatively, a table of possible sets of chroma QP offset values is specified in the header area of the picture, and each quantization group uses an index to select an entry from the table for determining its own set of chroma QP offset values. The quantization group specific chroma QP offset values are then used to determine the chroma QP values for blocks within the quantization group in addition to chroma QP offset values already specified for higher levels of the video coding hierarchy.

  • Patent number: 10972773
Abstract: System and methods for modifying streaming data based on radio frequency information is provided. As radio transceivers transition move to a shared resource or cloud model and the existing radio transceivers are split into a baseband unit and a remote radio head, radio frequency (RF) information including power levels, encoding, data rates, and bandwidth can be provided to video optimization server. The RF information can be provided more frequently to allow real-time modifications to streaming video data. Existing protocols are reactionary in nature and perceive changing channel conditions indirectly. By providing RF information from the baseband unit on a low latency channel, modifications to the video stream can be made before an impact would be noticed at the protocol level. Also, policy information can be used to influence the changes made to streaming data in addition to the RF information.

  • Patent number: 10955358
Abstract: A workpiece having an outer peripheral portion rotationally symmetric about a symmetry axis can be inspected with high-accuracy while reducing cycle time of the inspection. In an inspection for each of the workpieces, on the basis of the image of the workpiece acquired by executing a first step of capturing an image of the workpiece while holding the workpiece at a pre-alignment position using a holding table and rotating the workpiece about a rotary axis, a position of the workpiece at the holding table is corrected so as to eliminate misalignment of the symmetry axis with respect to the rotary axis. Thereafter, on the basis of the image acquired by executing a fifth step of capturing an image of the workpiece while rotating the workpiece about the rotary axis at an inspection position, the workpiece is inspected. In the inspection of the workpiece, the fifth step for a previous workpiece of two consecutive workpieces and the first step for a next workpiece are executed in parallel with each other.

  • Patent number: 10834440
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and non-transitory computer-readable storage media for encoding media content based on network quality of service parameters. A system configured to practice the method determines quality of service parameters for a network between a media server and a media client. The system selects an encoder based on a list of decoders available at the media client and the quality of service parameters, and encodes at least a portion of the media via the encoder. The system can further determine settings for the encoder based on a media type, and encode the media via the encoder according to the settings. The system can detect when the media client moves to a new network, detect new quality of service parameters, and select a new encoder based on the list of decoders available at the media client, the media type, and the new quality of service parameters.
