Abstract: An aerosol-generating system includes an electric heater, a battery and control circuitry. The electric heater is configured to vaporize an aerosol-forming substance. The battery is configured to power the electric heater. The control circuitry is configured to: prevent charging of the battery in response to detecting that the electric heater is in an operation state; or prevent operation of the electric heater in response to detecting that the battery is in a charging state.
Abstract: The cartridge includes a storage compartment configured to contain a liquid, the storage compartment having a first portion and a second portion connected to one another by a liquid channel. The cartridge includes an airflow passage passing between the first portion and the second portion of the storage compartment, and an aerosol-generating element that is fluid permeable and is positioned between the first portion and the second portion of the storage compartment, the aerosol-generating element having a first side and a second side that oppose each other, the first side of the aerosol-generating element forming part of the airflow passage and the second side of the aerosol-generating element being in contact with the liquid from the second portion of the storage compartment.

Abstract: A method for producing a reinforcing bar by pultrusion, the method comprising the steps of: a) providing a source of fibres; b) assembling the fibres into a bundle; c) impregnating the bundle with a thermosetting resin; d) eliminating excess resin from the bundle; e) compressing the bundle in a centripetal manner; f) exposing the bundle to a radiant energy source; g) spraying particles onto a surface of the bundle; and h) exposing the bundle to radiation in order to initiate, on the surface of same, the polymerisation of the resin. The present invention also concerns a system provided with corresponding devices in order to be able to implement the method. Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to forming a titanium nitride layer, and more particularly to forming by atomic layer deposition a titanium nitride layer on a seed layer. The semiconductor structure additionally comprises a seed layer comprising silicon (Si) and nitrogen (N) conformally coating the non-metallic surface and a TiN layer conformally coating the seed layer. Abstract: Systems, apparatus and methods for producing objects with cryogenic 3D printing with controllable micro and macrostructure with potential applications in tissue engineering, drug delivery, and the food industry. The technology can produce complex structures with controlled morphology when the printed 3D object is immersed in a liquid coolant, whose upper surface is maintained at the same level as the highest deposited layer of the object. This ensures that the computer-controlled process of freezing is controlled precisely and already printed frozen layers remain at a constant temperature. The technology controls the temperature, flow rate and volume of the printed fluid emitted by the dispenser that has X-Y positional translation and conditions at the interface between the dispenser and coolant surface. The technology can also control the temperature of the pool of liquid coolant and the vertical position of the printing surface and pool of coolant liquid.

Abstract: A device is provided for the self-administration of cannabinoids. The device includes a container having an opening on a first end thereof, a cap which releasably engages said first end of said container, and an assembly, including first and second modules, which is removably placed inside of the container. The first module includes a first element equipped with first and second threading, a receptacle for said solid medium, said receptacle being equipped with at least one surface feature which slidingly engages said first threading, and a solid medium which is seated in said receptacle and which contains at least one cannabinoid. Abstract: The present invention relates to methods for the production of fresh cured fiber cement products. More particularly, the present invention provides methods for the production of fresh fiber cement products comprising cured fiber cement waste material, at least comprising the steps of: (a) Providing a cured fiber cement waste powder by comminuting cured fiber cement waste material; (b) Providing an aqueous fiber cement slurry comprising water, cementitious binder, natural or synthetic fibers and said cured fiber cement waste powder; (c) Forming a green fiber cement sheet from said aqueous fiber cement slurry; and (d) Autoclave-curing said green fiber cement sheet thereby providing a fresh fiber cement product.
Abstract: A deposition system includes a system housing having a housing interior, a fixture transfer assembly having a generally sloped fixture transfer rail extending through the housing interior, a plurality of sequentially ordered deposition chambers connected by the fixture transfer rail, a controller interfacing with the processing chambers and at least one fixture carrier assembly carried by the fixture transfer rail and adapted to contain at least one substrate. The fixture carrier assembly travels along the fixture transfer rail under influence of gravity. A substrate fixture contains a substrate. The substrate fixture comprises a fixture frame. The fixture frame is defined by multiple circular members adjacently joined in a circular arrangement. Each circular member has a fixture frame opening sized to receive the substrate. Lens support arms may integrate into the circular members, extending in a curved disposition into the fixture frame opening to retain the substrate. A deposition method is also disclosed.
