Abstract: Systems and methods for an ambient light sensor (ALS) disposed under a display layer. In some implementations, an ALS reading is adjusted by compensating for light leakage in a display environment. In some aspects, a display leakage component may be determined based on image content driven onto a display pixel array during the ALS reading. An ambient light measurement may be generated by subtracting the display leakage component from the ALS reading and then adjusting a display brightness of the display pixel array in response to the ambient light measurement.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that are directed to automatically adjusting a user interface based on tilt position of a digital drawing board. The digital drawing board has a tiltable screen with a sensor. The tiltable screen may be fixed in a stable tilt position. A sensor is used to determine that the digital drawing board has a first tilt position. The digital drawing board displays a first user interface associated with the first tilt position. The first user interface may be associated with a first use mode. The first user interface may also be based on an application running on the digital drawing board. When the sensor senses that the digital drawing board has moved from the first tilt position to a second tilt position, it automatically displays a second user interface associated with a second tilt position. The second user interface has different functionality than the first user interface.

  • Patent number: 11393435
Abstract: A display device is mounted on and/or inside the eye. The eye mounted display contains multiple sub-displays, each of which projects light to different retinal positions within a portion of the retina corresponding to the sub-display. The projected light propagates through the pupil but does not fill the entire pupil. In this way, multiple sub-displays can project their light onto the relevant portion of the retina. Moving from the pupil to the cornea, the projection of the pupil onto the cornea will be referred to as the corneal aperture. The projected light propagates through less than the full corneal aperture. The sub-displays use spatial multiplexing at the corneal surface. Various electronic devices interface to the eye mounted display.
