Abstract: Frozen aerated edible product can be dispensed from single dose cartridges containing said frozen aerated edible product, using a portable dispenser comprising thermally insulated storing means for storing single dose cartridges containing said frozen aerated edible product, said thermally insulated storing means being adapted to be mounted on the back of a person, and dispensing means capable of holding a single dose cartridge containing said frozen aerated edible product outside the storing means, said dispensing means comprising discharge means capable of discharging frozen aerated edible product out of said single dose cartridge.

Abstract: An automated vending machine is adapted to vend vacation-related goods. The vending machine is constructed as an enlarged reproduction of a conventional traffic control signal. The vending machine includes a rectangular enclosure in which is housed a storage and vending assembly. The enclosure includes a plurality of illuminated, colored lamps. A plurality of circular cavities are provided for visually displaying goods. A coin and bill counter with coin return is provided for receiving a customer's consideration. The vending machine further includes a dispensing chute having a discharge hopper into which goods are delivered. A plurality of push-buttons facilitate communication between a customer and internal circuitry of the storage and vending assembly to facilitate dispensing of a good selected by customer after correct amount of consideration is inserted in coin and bill counter.

Abstract: A dispenser for storing and dispensing small items is provided. The dispenser includes a base container having an a hollow space for storing items to be dispensed, a cover sized to fit over the opening of the base container, and a wheel rotationally mounted under the cover which has a shaft and at least three fins radially extending from the shaft and spaced from each other around the shaft. The wheel is mounted under the cover such that the fins of the wheel can rotate under the cover and carry an item stored within the base container to a port in the cover. The rotating fins on the wheel are aligned so as to contact and pass over the raised boss on an inside surface of the cover each time the wheel is rotated 360 degrees. An actuator is also provided for manually rotating the wheel under the cover, which actuator is accessible from outside of the dispenser. Both the cover and the fins of the wheel are made of plastic.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a display dispenser having a disposable molded tray with a thin shell, unibody construction that firmly receives a removable pusher assembly. The tray is formed from a unitary sheet of plastic that forms inner and outer shells. Each shell forms the inside or outside half of a continuous wall around the perimeter of the tray. The two wall halves are integrally joined along a top portion, but otherwise spaced apart to provide a double-walled construction. Each wall has a frustoconical shape so that the trays nest into each other when stacked. The inner shell has an interior portion with two symmetrical side ledges that support and align the sides of the packages. The top of the package faces forward to show the artistic design on the article such as the paper plates or paper napkins inside. The inner shell has a central recess that snuggly receives the unified pusher assembly. A rim extending from the wall and a floor of the recess lay flat on a surface of a shelf.

Abstract: A piece feeder comprising a rotating cylindrical bowl (3) with an aligning track (2) on its upper edge which is driven by a motor in a cylindrical outer housing (1) and having a piece lifter (4) which is attached to the outer housing with constant clearance from the bowl periphery (32). The piece lifter has a slope on its upper edge that starts at or below the bowl bottom (33) and ends at the aligning track. Pieces are pushed up onto the piece lifter continuously by trigger pins (5) that are placed at the foot of the bowl periphery and at the skirt of the bottom bowl of the rotating bowl. Pieces are then pushed up to the aligning track by the following piece.

Abstract: A drug dispensing device is comprised of an upper hopper having an upper opening for receiving a medicament and a lower opening. A lid covers the upper opening. A lower hopper having an upper opening and a lower opening in a bottom portion thereof is provided. The upper hopper defines a bulk storage chamber and the lower hopper defines a dispensing chamber. A rotatable dispensing disc is positioned in a lower portion of the dispensing chamber for dispensing medicament from the drug dispensing device through the lower opening in the lower hopper. A regulator is situated between the bulk storage chamber and the dispensing chamber for controlling the rate at which medicament moves from the storage chamber to the dispensing chamber. The regulator may take a variety of forms. In one embodiment, the regulator includes a valve for controlling the flow of medicament from the storage chamber to the dispensing chamber.

Abstract: An automatic star sticker vending machine and a method for updating information thereof, wherein a newest image (photograph) and newest information of a star (an animation character, celebrity, popular person, performer, notable figure or the like) desired by a user are provided in real time and outputted in the form of a sticker directly without being synthesized, or after being synthesized according to the user's tastes. Star images in the star sticker vending machine are updated with newest ones in real time over the Internet such that the user synthesizes a newest image (photograph file) of his/her favorite star, his/her image (photograph) and a desired image and outputs the synthesized result in the form of a sticker or downloads and stores it into a storage medium in the form of a file. Therefore, the user's various desires can be met and the user can be more familiar with the favorite star.

Abstract: A pill delivery and packing apparatus having a feeder tube for delivering pills is provided. The feeder tube has a helical delivery chute that extends between an inlet side and an exit side of the tube. The delivery chute has a helical inner contour and a rectangular cross section that corresponds to the shape of the pills. The helical delivery chute is configured such that each of the pills rotates while proceeding through the delivery chute, whereby such rotation of the pills prevents jamming of the pills in the delivery chute. Independently extendable pins are used to alternately block and open the delivery chute, thus providing an escapement mechanism for dispensing pills. The tube also has an outer surface defining a helical outer contour that guides a rotatable tray on which pills are disposed. Associated apparatuses and methods are also provided.

Abstract: A differentiator for a vending machine includes a drive motor which drives a threaded shaft. A carrier with a port adapted to receive the threaded shaft defines the base of the differentiator with the head of the differentiator pivotally mounted on the base. A biasing spring between the base and the head urges the head into an angular orientation. A surface which supports a stack of items marketed by the vending machine provides an environment in which the differentiator works. The differentiator is mounted under the support surface. The support surface includes a slot therein. The differentiator is mounted so that differentiator head, on the differentiator base is positioned in the slot of the support surface. One end of the angularly oriented head extends above the support surface, through the slot and, when carried forward by the base, separates an item from the stack of items supported on the support surface.

Abstract: A counting and feeding apparatus for small article, characterized in that tablets are fed intermittently from a feeding means (2) to the outer peripheral surface of a transfer drum (1) multiple pieces at a time and suckingly held on the outer peripheral surface of the transfer drum (1), a plurality rows of tablets orderly arranged along the circumferential direction of the drum are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the transfer drum (1) and transferred, one tablet is inputted from each of the rows into a temporary reservation means at a specified transfer position, and these steps are repeated specified times, whereby the tablets can be counted for each row, and the specified quantity of tablets can be reserved in the temporary reservation means and then fed to containers or a packing mechanism section.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided which is adapted for dispensing from a table top and it is convertible to dispensing from a conventional rolled product fixture. The dispenser includes a housing having a compartment configured to hold sheets. The housing also has a dispensing opening. The housing is configured to be positioned on a table top for dispensing sheets therefrom, and the housing includes a sling which permits the housing to be coupled to a conventional rolled product fixture. The sling is masked when the dispenser is positioned for dispensing from a table top. The sling is readily releasable to permit the housing to be coupled to a fixture in a bathroom.

The dispenser has a housing having a compartment configured to hold sheets therein and a dispensing opening. The housing is configured to be positioned on a table top for dispensing sheets therefrom. The housing including arms which permit the housing to be coupled to a fixture. The arms are masked when the dispenser is positioned for dispensing from a table top. The arms are readily releasable to permit the housing to be releasably coupled to a fixture in a bathroom.

Abstract: An embodiment of a sensor dispensing device for dispensing sensors for measuring analyte concentration in a fluid includes a cartridge assembly (32) having a housing (70) with an opening and means (16) for making a moisture-proof seal around the opening. A stack of sensors (12) is stored in the housing (70) and urged through the opening towards a stop member (73) by spring means. The device is provided with an externally actuable pusher (18) for breaking the seal and for pushing a single sensor from the housing.

Abstract: A power control circuit used in a vending machine having a bill accepter and vending main units controlled by the bill accepter is disclosed to include a pulse signal generator installed in the bill inlet of the bill accepter and adapted to generate a triggering signal upon insertion of a bill into the bill inlet of the bill accepter, a driver, and a trigger, which controls the driver to drive the bill accepter between the power-saving stand-by mode and the work mode subject to the presence of the pulse signal from the pulse signal generator.

Abstract: A container, method and system for dispensing a solid product held in a distributable container having an opening. A mechanical interlock secures the opening of the container preventing contact with the solid product by a user. A dispenser, fixed at a dispensing location, is adapted to receive the mechanical interlock of the container. A power source is operatively coupled to the dispenser and adapted to power the mechanical interlock allowing dispensing of the solid product from the container.

Abstract: A label sheet assembly is provided with bar code information thereon defining the layout of the labels on the backing sheet. A versatile label dispenser apparatus advances the label sheets and deflects them over a peeling bar in one direction to partially separate the labels from the backing sheet; with the advancing action being determined by the bar code information. The label sheet assemblies are then deflected in the opposite direction, and are routed in a substantially flat condition to the output of the dispenser apparatus. The labels are partially dispensed, substantially vertically from the dispenser, and a substantial number of sensors are provided to sense when all of the labels have been removed; and then the dispenser advances the label sheet assembly to partially dispense the next row of labels. The bar code reader may also sense the leading edge of the label sheet assembly to accurately control the incremental advancing of the label sheet assembly.

One of the face plates has a first elongated dispensing opening exposing a bottom region of the napkin stack, for one-by-one dispensing, and the other face plate has a second elongated dispensing opening exposing an edge region of the napkin stack, for dispensing a plurality of napkins simultaneously.

Abstract: A carrier especially for fast food comprising a tray section secured to the top edge of a frame section. The frame is made preferably of heavy paper to facilitate printing of advertisement thereon. The tray section is a a thermoplastic panel with depressions for receiving food. In one embodiment, the frame has a floor panel arranged to support a drawer between the tray section and frame section. A front panel of the frame section has a slot that is constructed to permit withdrawing the drawer positioned from inside the container through the slot. The drawer is positioned on top of a napkin that has a corner extending through the slot and is withdrawable from the carrier when required. A suction cup with a hook integrally formed on the convex side is provided to attach the carrier to window of an automobile.

Abstract: An escapement system for orienting a plurality of fasteners includes a housing member including a first station and a second station, and a drum member operably coupled with the housing member and adapted to move a fastener from the first station to the second station. The escapement system also includes a first seating assembly adapted to abuttingly engage the fastener at the first station and seat the fastener against the datum surface, wherein a selected one of the housing member and the drum member includes the datum surface. The escapement system further includes a first probe assembly separate from the first seating assembly and including a first probe member adapted to abuttingly engage the fastener and a first proximity switch operably coupled with the first probe, wherein the first proximity switch is configured to indicate proper alignment on the fastener within the first station.
