  • Patent number: 10726383
Abstract: A mobile master node apparatus is described for generating a corrective pickup notification related to an item being shipped based upon an intended pickup master node. The master node includes a processor, memory storage, location circuitry, and a communication interface. In operation, the mobile master node is unconventionally transformed to identify a location of the ID node; determine whether the location of the ID node and a detected location of the mobile master node indicates the item accompanies the mobile master node as it moves from a first location to a second location; identify an intended pickup master node from received shipping information related to the item; automatically sense an adverse pickup condition related to the item based upon the intended pickup master node and whether the item is accompanying the mobile master node; and generate the corrective pickup notification based upon the adverse pickup condition sensed.

  • Patent number: 10726382
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, and systems for various ways to transmit a corrective pickup notification for a shipped item to a courier master node are described. For example, such a method generally has a master node at a first location receiving shipping information related to the item. The master node then parses the received shipping information to identify an intended delivery location related to the item. The method then has the master node automatically sensing an adverse delivery condition related to the item based upon the first location of the master node and the intended delivery location for the item. The master node then transmits the corrective delivery notification to the courier master node based upon the adverse delivery condition sensed by the first master node.

  • Patent number: 10719802
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for a user interface for enforcement of shipping rules. In one aspect, a method includes accessing regulation information/data, the regulation information/data being a multi-level hierarchy of nodes arranged in a tree structure, each node specifying one or more keywords, wherein the nodes comprise one or more starting nodes having one or more child nodes and having no parent nodes, one or more intermediate nodes having at least one of a child node and a parent node, and one or more end nodes having at least one parent node and no child nodes. Determining, that a particular keyword from the received one or more keywords matches a keyword of a node in the hierarchy. Determining, a level and a type of the node in the hierarchy, wherein the type of the node specifies whether the node is one of a starting node, an intermediate node, and an end node.

  • Patent number: 10706381
Abstract: The disclosure provides a system and method of delivering packages. The system may include a plurality of land vehicles that transport a plurality of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to locations within a distance of delivery destinations. The system may determine, based on a number of packages to be delivered to destinations in a geographical area, a number of land vehicles to carry the packages to within a UAV round-trip range of each of the destinations. The system may allocate the number of packages to the number of land vehicles. The system may determine a route for each land vehicle that brings the land vehicle within the UAV round-trip range of each destination. The system may dispatch the UAVs carrying the packages from the land vehicle at dispatch locations along the respective route.

  • Patent number: 10699353
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer program products for managing non-standard data. A data management system stores profile records for non-standard providers in a DTN database, and elements defining an itinerary in an EDR database. The data management system queries the DTN database for profiles matching search criteria, and generates a service request for one of the matching profiles. The service request is stored in an extended data structure of an extended data record in the EDR database. The extended data record includes a standard data structure for storing standard elements and the extended data structure for storing non-standard elements. The service request is also transmitted to non-standard provider systems. Service offers from the non-standard provider systems are stored in the extended data structure. The system thereby manages an itinerary that includes non-standard services defined by the non-standard elements and standard services defined by the standard elements using the extended data record.

  • Patent number: 10679174
Abstract: A package shipping processing system is provided including a kiosk housing, a computer terminal with a video display, an input device such as a touch screen and/or keyboard, a data processor, and network data communications module. The package shipping processing system further includes a scale with a platform on which objects for shipment are placed and weighed, and an imaging device in communication with the computer terminal to transmit captured image data of objects for shipment. The data processor stores a fragility index which lists objects and different insulations which correspond to the listed objects. In use, shippers input the identification of an object to be shipped into the input device, and place the object on the scale for weight and dimensional determinations. The data processor analyzes the object's weight, fragility and dimensions to select a package and insulation for shipment.

  • Patent number: 10671962
Abstract: Improved movement-based technical solutions for transmitting a corrective pickup notification for a shipped item are described. For example, a first master node at a first location receives shipping information about the item. That master node identifies an intended pickup master node from the shipping information and determines the location of an ID node associated with the item over a time period, which may indicate the item is not moving away from the first location. After identifying the location of the intended pickup master node over the time period, the first master node automatically senses an adverse pickup condition when the intended pickup master node does is moving away from the first location while the ID node's detected location over time indicates the item is not moving away from the first location. The first master node then transmits the corrective pickup notification to a second logistics devices based on the adverse pickup condition sensed.
