  • Patent number: 6938673
Abstract: A safety block device for supporting a generally vertically movable component about a guide post of a press device. According to one embodiment of the invention, the safety block device includes a generally upright column (42) adapted to be disposed adjacent the guide post (18) and moveable between a retracted non-working position, wherein the column does not support the moveable component, and an extended working position, wherein the column is effective to support the moveable component and prevent movement thereof. The column includes an upper end portion and a lower end portion. According to one feature of the invention, the lower end portion of the column includes a generally rounded first portion (62a) and a generally second flat portion (62b) which is slightly offset with respect to the first portion.

  • Patent number: 6923240
Abstract: A method for producing sand cores for foundry, comprising the operations of: defining a molding cavity; blowing in a mixture of sand and hydrated binder into said molding cavity so as to produce a mass of sand, which reproduces in a complementary way the shape of said molding cavity; and producing the passage, through said mass of sand, of a flow of aeriform along at least one principal direction. The method comprises the operation of generating through said mass of sand a flow of aeriform, directed at least in part in a radial direction with respect to said principal direction.

  • Patent number: 6719035
Abstract: An injection molding apparatus of a metal material places a heating cylinder in an inclined position. The heating cylinder includes a nozzle at a tip thereof and a screw disposed inside. In this way, the metal material in a liquid phase state can be transferred and metered accurately in a reliable manner at all times by flowing due to the inclination and a transfer force produced by rotation of the screw. A clamping apparatus is provided to oppose the injection apparatus and includes a mold having a sprue bush inside. The injection apparatus and the clamping apparatus are placed on an apparatus platform in an inclined position at the same angle with the mold in a lower end, so that the metal material in the liquid phase state in the heating cylinder flows down toward the head due to self-weight. The nozzle and sprue bush are positioned on the same straight line, thereby maintaining nozzle touch without bending the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6702174
Abstract: A wire fixing jig for arranging and fixing covered wires when intersection portions thereof are welded. The jig has a jig body on which the covered wires are arranged, supporting portions for supporting the covered wires are formed around the intersection portions to be welded. These portions are located at a predetermined pitch from a corresponding one of the intersection portions, at both sides in the longitudinal direction thereof and for ensuring a space that allows a core part of each of the intersection portions, which are pressurized when welded, to spread out, and through holes through which welding device is inserted when the intersection portions of the covered wires are welded to each other.
