  • Patent number: 10439775
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to randomization of positioning reference signal (PRS) frequency offsets and muting patterns in long term evolution (LTE) for enhanced observed time difference of arrival (eOTDOA). According to certain aspects, a method is provided for wireless communications which may be performed, for example, by a base station (BS). The method generally includes randomly selecting at least one parameter used to determine a set of time-frequency resources for transmitting positioning reference signals (PRS) and transmitting PRS on the determined set of time-frequency resources. The user equipment (UE) may randomly select the at least one parameter used to determine the set of time-frequency resources to measure for the PRS from the BS and measure PRS on the determined set of time-frequency resources.

  • Patent number: 10433236
Abstract: Reduced signaling overhead is provided in an apparatus and method for communications within a mesh network. The communications involve using two different beacon signals. A peer beacon contains time synchronization and resource management information to maintain existing links among one or more neighboring peer stations, while a separate network discovery beacon contains mesh network profile information that identifies the mesh network to aid network discovery for wireless communication stations wanting to join the mesh network. Embodiments describe coordination between peer stations to determine which stations are to send the network discovery beacons, so that at any given period of time not all stations need to be transmitting the discovery beacons.

  • Patent number: 10420091
Abstract: The invention relates to a new structure of a control channel region within a sub-frame of a 3GPP-based based communication system using OFDM in the downlink. This new structure of a control channel region is inter alia particularly suitable for conveying physical downlink control channel information from a donor eNodeB to a relay node. The control channel region is divided in CCEs that have equal size irrespective of the presence of further cell-specific and/or UE-specific reference signals within the control channel region. This is achieved by dividing the control channel region in plural sub-CCEs that are combined to CCEs all having equal size (in terms of resource elements that can be used for the signaling of control information). The control channel region is divided in the frequency domain and/or time domain in a FDM respectively TDM fashion in order to obtain the sub-CCEs.

  • Patent number: 10412616
Abstract: A wireless data network equalizes latency for a user application. A source application controller exchanges application data with user communication devices over source wireless access points for a user application session. The source application controller maintains equalized latency within a latency window on the application data exchanges. The source application controller identifies a handover event for a user communication device and determines if the equalized latency can be maintained. The source application controller hands over the application session to a target application controller when the equalized latency cannot be adequately maintained within the latency window. The target application controller then exchanges application data with the user communication devices over the wireless access points for the user application session.

  • Patent number: 10355992
Abstract: Systems and methods for supporting SMP connectivity checks across virtual router in a high performance computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, SMA model enhancements allow for the possibility to send a packet (i.e., SMP) that is addressed to a local router port. The SMA where the packet is addressed can receive the packet, and then apply a new attribute that defines that the requested information is on a remote node (e.g., connected by a physical link across subnets). In accordance with an embodiment, the SMA can operate as a proxy (receives a SMP and sends another request), or the SMA can modify the original packet and send it on as an inter-subnet packet.
