Abstract: A trim piece is diclosed that allows from easier placement of trim pieces around corners. An elongated member has a block at an end. The block has an abutment face pointed in a direction to extend around a corner and face down the direction for the next trim piece to be placed. The abutment face may alternatively face in the longitudinal direction of the elongate member, or face in a direction for the next trim piece to be placed on the same surface as the first trim piece.
Abstract: An article holder includes a base to be attached to an inner side portion of a frame and at lease two clip members to be assembled to the base with a space therebetween. The clip members receive therein engaging projections of projecting pieces provided at an article while elastically expanding. Also, the clip members include inserting portions having engaging portions to be engaged with the engaging projections of the projecting pieces through rebounding at terminal positions to which the projecting pieces are inserted. Moreover, the clip members are rotatably assembled to the base. Thus, in case a window glass is curved to have a curved inner side on a passenger's compartment side, the article can be held corresponding to the curve by changing the engaging positions of a plurality of engaging portions with respect to the article.
Abstract: The invention relates to a fastening system for panels whose edges are provided complementary holding profiles which match one another in such a manner that further panels can be fastened to the free edges of a previously placed panel. The holding profiles of at least the long edges are configured as complementary positive-fit profiles, one of the profiles having a projection with a convex bottom edge, and the other profile having a recess with a concave bottom edge, such that the profiles may be interconnected by a pivoting motion. Such complementary design of the profiles enables the positive-fit profiles of the long edges of two panels to form a common joint which, when the panels are laid, enables bidirectional pivoting of the panels with respect to one another about a pivot axis that is parallel to the joined long edges of the panels.

Abstract: A brick or masonry structure is drilled to receive an elongate reinforcing assembly comprising a core with one or more fabric sleeves over most of its length. The sleeves are injected with grout that seeps through the fabric to bond to the drilling wall. It may bond directly to the core or to a tube through which the core extends. The core is anchored to the structure at or near the mouth of the drilling while a tube farthest from the mouth may have a connection to the core that allows the core to be pulled towards the mouth with progressively greater resistance.

Abstract: A method of construction of a damp-proof basement includes disposing a water-permeable palette layer on a bottom surface of the interior of the basement and spaced from an outer wall of the basement, disposing a water-impermeable vent layer over the palette layer, disposing a reinforced-concrete slab on the vent layer and spaced from the outer wall, and disposing an inner wall at a periphery of the concrete slab and spaced from the outer wall. A damp-proof basement construction includes a water-permeable palette layer, disposed on a bottom surface of the interior of the basement, spaced from an outer wall of the basement. A water-impermeable vent layer is disposed over the palette layer. A reinforced-concrete slab is disposed on the vent layer, spaced from the outer wall. An inner wall is disposed at a periphery of the concrete slab, spaced from the outer wall.
Abstract: Seating tiers are used in a stadium to position rows of spectators at progressively higher levels, the tiers having a reverse slope such that each row is closer to a playing field than the next lower row, thereby providing spectators with an excellent view of action on the field. Walkways extend along the fronts of the seats and windows are adjacent the walkways to allow viewing of the field while protecting spectators. Cross-beams support the rows of seats and provide the walkways and are supported between stairway units that are part of a supporting frame structure.
Abstract: A fastening device for a glass panel on a wall, a building-side substructure, or similar object, such as a building facade, using a clamp fitting that grips the glass panel and a holder that is supported on the clamp fitting that it can move to a limited extent in three dimensions. The invention teaches that the holder has a two-arm connecting bridge that can be fixed in position by means of a center retaining pivot on the clamp fitting whereby, on the outer free ends of the connecting bridge, there are connecting articulations that can be fixed in position for the connection of respective compensating shafts, which are connected on their ends farther away from the connecting bridge by means of respective articulations that can be fixed in position with an adapter for fastening to a wall, a substructure, or similar object.
Abstract: The present invention provides a glass sheet having a hole for attachment of the sheet to a vehicle body. The hole includes a through hole and a thin part in contact with the through hole. A bolt is fitted so that the head of the bolt is fitted in the thin part.
Abstract: An air beam structure having reduced weight, increased rigidity, and lower inflation pressure requirements. The structure includes a closed tubular cylindrical shell of air impermeable fabric having at least one inflation valve. Fixed within the shell is an “I” beam envelope comprised of flexible, air impermeable walls sealed to the interior of the shell. The “I” beam envelope extends the length of the shell and defines at least four air chambers in communication with the inflation valve. A quantity of compressible material is dispersed throughout the interior of the “I” beam envelope. When subjected to compressive forces by pressurization of the air chambers, the material becomes rigid. The filled envelope is either vented to atmosphere or connected to a vacuum source. The air beam is used in groups and may be connected one to another by sheet materials to form a wall or roof structure.

Abstract: The invention concerns glazing sheets with variable absorbing power. The glazing comprises two transparent walls providing an inter-wall space containing one of the two following fluids: either a first transparent fluid, such as air; or a second transparent fluid, absorbing solar energy over a very large part of the spectrum, in particular liquid water or liquid water with added alcohol. The glazing further compromises a circuit for discharging energy in the form of a bead, located at its periphery, preferably consisting of a heat pip-exchanger. The glazing also comprises an apparatus for filling up or emptying the inter-wall space, as well as flexible elements for absorbing the second fluid expansion depending on temperature. The glazing can in particular be used for producing car windows.
