Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods of extending user interface web pages of a web-based application with user interface elements of a second web-based application. A client receiving a web page from a first server may detect that web page as including user interface of a first web-based application. The client may analyze that web page to extract data and send that data to a second server. The client may receive an indication of one or more modifications to make to the web page from the second server so as to display user interface of a second web-based application. The web page may be modified according to the indication, and the modified web page rendered in the client browser so as to yield a screen display with user interface elements of both the first and second web-based applications. Embodiments may employ a web browser plug-in.

Abstract: An apparatus for controlling a display of a cluster for a vehicle includes: a setting unit receiving settings indicating three-dimensional (3D) levels with respect to various information from an operator; a communication unit collecting information to be displayed on the cluster; a control unit controlling the cluster to apply 3D levels corresponding to the information collected by the communication unit and to display the collected information with the corresponding 3D levels applied thereto; and the cluster displaying the collected information with the corresponding 3D levels applied thereto.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a client computing device of a user provides for presentation a user interface that includes one or more components. The client computing device may receive an indication of a message to the user. The client computing device may automatically modify the user interface to accommodate presentation of an interactive element associated with the message. The client computing device may modify the user interface at least in part by automatically modifying one or more of the components. The client computing device may automatically provide for presentation the user interface as modified and the interactive element associated with the message.

Abstract: A system and method for scrolling through a media file is presented. Playback of a media file is initiated. An instruction is received an instruction to enter a navigation mode. A set of one or more thumbnails is displayed. Each of the set of one or more thumbnails represents a portion of the media file. An input is received from a user indicating a desire to view a portion of the media file represented by one of the set of one or more thumbnails on the display. Playback of the media file is resumed at the portion of the media file represented by one of the set of one or more thumbnails on the display. The input from the user indicating a desire to view a portion of the media file comprises using scroll gestures on the set of one or more thumbnails to display a desired portion of the media file. The input can be made using a touch-sensitive device. The touch-sensitive device can be a touchscreen display.

Abstract: An information display terminal achieves a suitable display of types of electronic content such as electronic books with a display unit, an operation unit for receiving an operation instruction directed to the information display terminal, and a scroll control unit for controlling the operation for automatic scroll processing of the electronic content displayed on the display unit. An operation instruction instructing initiation of the automatic scroll processing is input to the operation unit, the scroll control unit performs control to initiate automatic scroll processing by which the electronic content displayed on the display unit is displayed in such a manner that the electronic content is moved a predetermined distance per predetermined time period; and when an operation instruction instructing interruption of the automatic scroll processing is input to the operation unit, the scroll control unit performs control to interrupt the automatic scroll processing.

Abstract: An electronic device includes a display screen for displaying (302) an active first application, a movement sensing assembly for providing signals indicative of movement of an object with respect to the display screen, and a processor in electronic communication with the movement sensing assembly and the display screen. The processor evaluates the signals from the movement sensing assembly to identify (304) a subdividing gesture, and instructs the display screen to display (306) the first application in a first portion of the display screen to one side of the subdividing gesture.

Abstract: A method and computer program product for intercepting and blocking the mouse move and resize events on mobile devices transmitting remote application. The remote access client installed on the mobile device send the coordinates of user's touches to remote computer. The remote access agent, running on a remote host, blocks the consequences of user finger (or stylus) actions performed on a captured window of the remote application. The method defines the areas and elements of a captured remote application window that are not affected by the move/resize commands emulated by a mobile device user. This functionality is implemented by a control-agent component running on a remote host for receiving and processing the commands from a mobile device and for transmitting video stream and some metadata about remote applications to the mobile device.

Abstract: Apparatuses, methods, and program products are disclosed for pointing to at least one key on a software keyboard. By use of a processor, a keyboard is displayed on a display device. At least one indicator that emphasizes at least one key of the keyboard is displayed. The at least one indicator may be at least one of a band, a pointing mark, and circles gradually decreasing in size.

Abstract: Examples of a method and system for collaborative and private sessions are provided. A request from a user of a collaborative shopping session is received. The user is associated with a private shopping session that allows access to an item at a special price, the special price being unavailable to non-participants of the private shopping session. Criterion is designated for the private session, the criterion indicating a completion of the private shopping session. User interactions received from a device of the user are processed. Satisfaction of the criterion is determined as a result of the processing. The private shopping session for the user is concluded based on the determination.

Abstract: There is provided a graphical user interface that displays information on a plurality of different types of content on a single screen. The graphical user interface includes an overview display area and a detail display area. The overview display area displays an overview of the information on the content in chronological order, based on time information for the plurality of the different types of content. The detail display area displays, in greater detail, the information on the content that corresponds to the time information that is selected in the overview display area. Scrolling the information that is displayed in the overview display area causes the information on the content that is displayed in the detail display area to be scrolled.

Abstract: A medical imaging device and method includes a touch-sensitive display, a medical image acquisition subsystem, and a processor. The processor is configured to display a first UI object and a second UI object on the touch-sensitive display, where the first UI object includes a first selection point and a first boundary. The processor is configured to adjust a position of the first UI object in response to a touch-based user input and to automatically adjust a position of the first selection point with respect to the first boundary in response to the touch based input when the first UI object is within a threshold distance from one of the second UI object and an edge of the touch-sensitive display.

Abstract: Information can be synchronized between multiple computing devices by transmitting synchronization signals from a first computing device to a synchronization server and/or secondary computing device(s). The secondary device(s) can transmit mapped signals back to the synchronization server and/or other device(s) to provide feedback for this real-time or asynchronous peer-to-peer system. The system can also be used to virtualize and share sensors and output information between multiple devices.

Abstract: An item sharing machine is configured to receive share requests in the example form of allocation requests submitted by requesters for an allocable region of a graphical user interface. The allocation requests specify numerical values accorded to the allocable region by the requesters. The item sharing machine determines a distribution of the numerical values and, based on the distribution, generates an allocation plan defined by configuration parameters for the allocable region. The item sharing machine is configured to repeatedly update the allocable region based on the allocation plan by cyclically and selectively linking the allocable region to different computers of different requesters based on the allocation plan. The allocable region accordingly becomes linked to computers of different requesters at different times, and the item sharing machine is configured to cause one or more user devices to present the allocable region linked to such computers at different times.

The method includes creating a multi-dimensional space of two or more dimensions corresponding to a screen of the electronic device, setting sound information on respective coordinates of the multi-dimensional space, extracting location information of a focused point on the screen of the electronic device, determining coordinates of the multi-dimensional space corresponding to the location information, and outputting a sound according to the sound information set to the determined coordinates.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a method includes receiving a template identifying a format for presenting geographic information, receiving an input corresponding to business intelligence (BI) data, and extracting geographical information from the input, the geographical information associated with the BI data. The method further includes accessing a geo-database and identifying a type of the geographical information associated with the BI data, adapting the geographical information to conform to the format identified in the template, and displaying the BI data in a geospatial context based on the geographical data. The BI data can be organized in one or more semantic data models. The geographical information can include one or more location types, where each location definition may be associated with a prioritization value.

Abstract: A method for designing a user interface (UI) for an application includes receiving, from a user, a first response comprising user selected first answers and a second response comprising user selected second answers, to pre-defined questions. The method includes assigning significance to interface (STI) weightage to each user selected first answer with respect to pre-defined user experience parameters and assigning a significance to business (STB) weightage to each user selected second answer. Also, the method includes computing total actual effective weightage for each pre-defined user experience parameter based on STI weightages of user selected first answers and STB weightages of user selected second answers. The method further includes calculating total maximum effective weightage for each pre-defined user experience parameter based on maximum STI weightage and maximum STB weightage for each pre-defined question.
