  • Patent number: 9929851
Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for full duplex communication on a wireless network are disclosed. In one aspect, one or more lists of non-effecting nodes are determined for one or more devices on the wireless network. A list of non-effecting nodes for a device identifies other network nodes or devices whose transmissions do not cause substantial interference with the device. When a full duplex communication is scheduled on the wireless network, a downlink message transmitted to the device may be performed concurrently with an uplink transmission from one of the non-effecting devices. This full duplex communication may be possible even if the device does not inherently support full-duplex communication on the wireless network.

  • Patent number: 9930518
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for discovering a home agent serving a mobile node upon the mobile node changing its mobility management scheme in a packet-switched network and the implementation of such method in a mobile node or home agent. In order to propose a home agent discover scheme that maintains session continuity in a seamless manner upon a mobile node changing its mobility management scheme, a mobile node comprises information on its location prior to changing the mobility management scheme to one of the first signaling messages transmitted upon changing the mobility management scheme (home agent discovery message). The receiving node uses this information to identify the home agent serving the mobile node or to provide a hint to the home agent where the mobile node is registered in a response message to the mobile node.

  • Patent number: 9917752
Abstract: A system and method for optimizing voice communications in a wireless network including an AP having a message waiting time that provides proper QoS while losing minimal communication bandwidth. The QoS may be responsive to the amount of user traffic in both the AP and neighboring APs. The method may include setting parameters for each level of QoS in response to a measure of the degree of contention for that level of QoS, and in response to a measure of the degree of contention for those levels of QoS with higher priority, and setting waiting time parameters in response to a stochastic model of contention at each level of QoS. Operational parameters might include contention window time, AIFS time, and back-off value(s), and might be modified in response to message QoS.

  • Patent number: 9912719
Abstract: A system and method of presenting a commerce application to an electronic device of an end-user are disclosed. The method includes establishing electronic communications from the end-user to a first server (e.g., an electronic marketplace) in response to the end-user accessing an element presented by the first server, and establishing electronic communications between the first server and a second server. The second server may be, for example, another electronic marketplace. The first server sends a graphical interface feature to the end-user. Substantially concurrent with the first server sending the graphical interface feature, the second server transmits electronically graphical content to be placed within the graphical interface feature on a browser on an electronic device of the end-user. The blending of the graphical interface feature and the graphical content is transparent to the end user; thus, the end-user may be unaware that additional information is being received from the second server.

  • Patent number: 9893774
Abstract: Instead of just consuming network resources, client devices create network resources via cooperative subspace processing to increase data bandwidth and expand radio coverage so the network grows dynamically with demand. Server-side cooperative-MIMO provides joint processing for geographically distributed base stations with overlapping coverage areas. A combination of centralized coordination and distributed computing pools and virtualizes base station processing, which reduces complexity, size, and power requirements of base stations to facilitate rapid and inexpensive network deployments. Cooperative subspace coding reduces overhead and transport-layer inefficiencies, and enables each channel to simultaneously employ multiple network paths, even over non-homogeneous networks. Cooperative subspace processing enables a client in a first network to reuse its allocated channels for communicating in another network without interfering with the first network.

  • Patent number: 9894111
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for sharing and controlling various contents in a voice call. A contents sharing system includes a soft switch and a contents share server. The soft switch receives a voice call from a VoIP terminal to set establishment and cancellation on a voice call session, receives a contents sharing request call, and transmits the same to the contents share server. The contents share server in cooperation with the soft switch receives the contents request call and processes establishment and cancellation on a data session for contents sharing between the callers. Accordingly, improved calling is provided by sharing various contents between the callers in a voice calling and thereby overcoming the problem of communication only available for voice.

  • Patent number: 9887819
Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is provided for transmitting an uplink signal in a wireless communication system The UE sets up a sounding reference signal (SRS) configuration for a first serving cell that includes information for an SRS transmission, and determines an SRS subframe in which an SRS and a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) for the first serving cell are simultaneously triggered according to the SRS configuration. If a SRS transmission on the SRS subframe for the first serving cell is overlapped with an uplink transmission for a second serving cell, the UE transmits the SRS in the SRS subframe if a total uplink transmission power does not exceeds the UE's maximum transmit power on the overlapped portion. If the SRS is triggered by the SRS configuration and timing advance groups are configured to the UE, the UE transmits the PUSCH on the SRS subframe for the first serving cell.
