  • Patent number: 11238201
Abstract: A pre-step co-simulation method and device for co-simulation of several subsystems is disclosed, utilizing partial derivatives of replacement subsystems. On this basis, the exact solutions of output variables of the individual subsystems are approximated by evaluation of an Error Differential Equation in order to estimate the future progress of the approximated exact output variables; corresponding input variables are determined by optimization prior to the current co-simulation time increment. The pre-step co-simulation method is realized within a computer-executable program and implemented in a network of computing nodes.

  • Patent number: 11206311
Abstract: Method, system, and programs for measuring user engagement. In one example, a model generated based on user activities with respect to a plurality pieces of content is obtained. One or more actual occurrences of the user activities with respect to one piece of the plurality pieces of content are identified. • Patent number: 11205026
Abstract: The systems and methods described herein disclose vehicle positioning and benefit distribution in a vehicle platoon. As described here, vehicles are organized in the platoon based on maximum benefit to the platoon as a whole. The systems and methods then determine the difference in benefit received between each platoon member and equalize between members. The systems and methods can include determining cumulative travel benefits for a group of vehicles. A platoon organization can then be created to achieve the cumulative travel benefits. A platoon can then be created using the platoon organization. The benefit distribution of the platoon can then be determined. Then, the actualized benefits can be apportioned to the one or more platoon members based on the benefit distribution.

  • Patent number: 11158121
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computing system may be configured to generate accurate and realistic computer-generated clothing for a given body pose. For example, the system may access a data representation of a body pose and generate, based on the data representation, a 3D clothing model for the body pose using a statistical model. The system may generate a first normal map, such as a low-resolution normal map, based on the 3D clothing model. The system may generate a second normal map, such as a high-resolution normal map, by processing the first normal map using a machine-learning model that is trained to generate normal maps with higher levels of detail from normal maps with relatively lower levels of detail. The system may then render clothing for the body pose based on the 3D clothing model and the second normal map.

  • Patent number: 11126657
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure introduce an offset-based representation for a computation graph of a neural network model. In this representation, the edges in the graph are implemented as offsets to the base address of the graph when the model is loaded into memory rather than pointers to address locations in memory. By replacing the pointer fields with offsets, the model in memory is no longer dependent on the allocation of memory. This overcomes the limitations of performance and/or power that is critical for comparing two models and copying a model to another memory location in latency sensitive applications and in mobile environments.

  • Patent number: 11086646
Abstract: Embodiments relate to tenant-side detection and mitigation of performance degradation resulting from interference generated by a noisy neighbor in a distributed computing environment. A first machine-learning model such as a k-means nearest neighbor classifier is operated by a tenant to detect an anomaly with a computer system emulator resulting from a co-located noisy neighbor. A second machine-learning model such as a multi-class classifier is operated by the tenant to identify a contended resource associated with the anomaly. A corresponding trigger signal is generated and provided to trigger various mitigation responses, including an application/framework-specific mitigation strategy (e.g., triggered approximations in application/framework performance, best-efforts paths, run-time changes, etc.), load-balancing, scaling out, updates to a scheduler to avoid impacted nodes, and the like. In this manner, a tenant can detect, classify, and mitigate performance degradation resulting from a noisy neighbor.

  • Patent number: 11080442
Abstract: A subdomain hybrid cellular automata method for solving car body thickness optimization includes an outer loop and an inner loop: the outer loop is to conduct crash finite element simulation analysis, calculate an output response, and update a cell internal energy density, and update a target mass using a penalty function method; the inner loop is mainly to adjust a cell thickness using a PID control strategy according to internal energy densities of a current cell and neighboring cells thereof, so that a current mass of the inner loop converges to the target mass; and finally the cell internal energy density distribution approaches a step target internal energy density function as much as possible. Step target internal energy density update rules are provided in the inner loop. Cell thickness update rules based on a PID control strategy are provided in the inner loop.
