Abstract: A wireless communication method and a terminal device are provided. The terminal device can flexibly start a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) round trip time (RTT) timer, thereby saving power. The method includes monitoring, by a terminal device, a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a discontinuous reception (DRX) period, where the uplink grant indicates an asynchronous HARQ process used for transmitting a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH). The method further includes starting, by the terminal device, an uplink HARQ RTT timer for the asynchronous HARQ process at a first moment after detecting the PDCCH.

Abstract: A method for enabling dynamic resource ownership transfer among network slice tenants includes acquiring an initial share of resources, admitting a plurality of tenants to a private blockchain platform, initiating a resource transaction process within a consortium of peer nodes, and validating proposed transactions in a distributed and automatized way. An infrastructure provider (InP) provides a mobile network that is virtually divided into a set of slices, and an intermediate broker (IB) regulates transactions, executed via a blockchain, by which resources are distributed between tenants. A smart contract (SC) running within the blockchain implements resource auditing among tenants and enforces IB-specific policies in managing transfers of the resources between the tenants. A consensus algorithm validates the transactions, and the infrastructure provider (InP) processes validated transactions and enforces transaction directives in the resource allocation process.

Abstract: Techniques for transmitting hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback by narrowband Internet-of-Things (NB-IoT) devices are provided. NB-IoT user equipment (UE) can transmit HARQ feedback in response to a narrowband physical downlink shared channel (NPDSCH) received over a downlink (DL). NB-IoT UEs can transmit the responsive HARQ feedback over a narrowband physical uplink shared channel (NPUSCH) or a narrowband physical uplink control channel (NPUCCH). Options for defining the physical structures of the NPUCCH and NPUSCH and user multiplexing on the uplink (UL) are provided. Determination of an UL resource allocation by determining resources in time, frequency, and the code domain for the HARQ feedback transmissions are also provided. Higher level signaling and/or indications provided in downlink control information (DCI) can be used to determine the time, frequency, or code domain resources.
Abstract: Communication apparatuses and methods reduce the amount of signaling while maintaining a high scheduling gain. A determination unit stores a correspondence between the number of code words and the number of clusters to reduce the maximum value for the number of clusters allocated to each terminal as the number of code words increases, and thus determines the maximum value for the number of clusters based on the number of code words acquired. Based on the number of code words for a transmission signal from a terminal, an estimated value for the reception quality that is output by an estimation unit, and the maximum value for the number of clusters that is output by the determination unit, a scheduling unit schedules the allocation of the transmission signal transmitted by each terminal to a transmission band frequency (frequency resource) so as not to exceed the maximum value for the number of clusters.
Abstract: For the case of multi-transmission point transmissions (TRPs), when a transmission on one of the TRPs fail, the network can receive date from a mobile device such that the network knows immediately that the transmission failed on a network node. After received the failed transmission data, the network can facilitate the mobile device switching from a dual transmission usage between two network devices to a single transmission usage between the network device for which the transmission has not been determined to fail.
