  • Patent number: 8056109
Abstract: The present invention relates to a system and method for retransmitting high definition contents broadcasted on a plurality of channels to IP-supported devices such as a digital media player (DMP), a mobile phone, personal computer (PC), etc. which are connected through a DLNA network. The method for retransmitting the broadcasted high definition contents includes the steps of generating a virtual item by converting channel information for a digital TV broadcast into an Extensible Markup Language (XML) file format, transmitting the virtual item to the DMP, determining whether there is a request for a personal TV service (PTS) from the DMP, tuning to a channel corresponding to the PTS if there is the request for the PTS, storing and packetizing a digital TV broadcast stream received through the PTS channel, and transmitting the packetized digital TV broadcast stream to the DMP.

  • Patent number: 8042142
Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes accessing data identifying a video for processing and mapping an instruction graph to the video based on one or more predetermined criteria and the data identifying the video. The instruction graph describes a workflow for processing the video, and the workflow includes a series of services that each provide particular processing of the video. The method includes calling the services in series to process the video based on the instruction graph. The video streams to each service in series as the video processes. A downstream service may begin processing one or more portions of the video after an upstream service has finished processing the one or more portions of the video and before the upstream service has finished processing the video in its entirety.

  • Patent number: 8020189
Abstract: A fast adaptive channel converting method and apparatus, and a computer readable recording medium having recorded thereon a program to execute the fast adaptive channel converting method. The fast adaptive channel converting method includes generating adjacent channel data by pre-signal processing an adjacent channel signal of a reference channel, receiving a channel change request from a user, searching for channel data corresponding to a changed channel in the adjacent channel data, and reproducing the searched channel data. Unlike a conventional technology, the fast adaptive channel changing apparatus and method prevents a screen blank time that may occur while changing a channel in a digital broadcast receiving apparatus, and thus boredom or inconvenience of a user can be removed. Also, when a channel is changed by using a preferred channel list, a channel search time can be remarkably reduced, and the user can easily watch a program of a preferred channel.

  • Patent number: 7840809
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a method and system for sending a session key file encryption key for use in the secure transmission of an encrypted media stream across a network. A logging node receives a double encrypted session key file encryption key. The session key file encryption key is used to encrypt session keys, which in turn can be used to decrypt the encrypted media stream. The logging node decrypts the session key file encryption key. Thereafter, the logging node sends the session key file encryption key to a reviewing node for use in secure transmission of the encrypted media stream.

  • Patent number: 7836484
Abstract: Method, apparatus and computer program for providing access to identity services of users. A Discovery Service DS server (100) stores for a set of users references (RO1A,ROnB) of identity services (IDSRV-A,IDSRV-B) available for them and usable to contact respectively with the Service Providers SPs (120,130) hosting each of said identity services. For a given identity service not yet registered for a given user, the DS server selects a SP (140) that is able to provide it, and stores a new resource offering (RO2X) that corresponds to the registration of said identity service. For selecting the appropriate SP, the DS server can check a service capability storage (103-2,301) that comprises information about what identity service(s) can be provided by a given SP, and which can be dynamically updated from SPs with the identity services they respectively support. The DS server can contact the user to collect SP preferences and/or service data.

  • Patent number: 7818788
Abstract: A web application security frame (e.g., schema) that can incorporate expertise into an engineering activity, for example, a threat modeling activity, is provided. The novel web application security frame component can be applied to a threat modeling component to converge knowledge into the activity by identifying categories, vulnerabilities, threats, attacks and countermeasures. The novel schema can create a common framework that converges knowledge with respect to any application engineering activity (e.g., threat modeling, performance modeling). Additionally, a context precision mechanism can be employed to automatically and/or dynamically determine a context of a web application environment. This context can be used to automatically generate an appropriate web application security frame component.

  • Patent number: 7805763
Abstract: A method (100, 200, 300, 400, 600) for sharing values among nodes (processors) (900, 1004, 1006, 1008, 1010) in a network (1000) that includes mobile nodes that is resistant to corruption by faulty nodes. Movement of nodes triggers special messages forwarding processor values to and from nodes that have moved. Movement also triggers initialization of a round counter associated with each message forwarding the processor values in each node that handles the special messages that are triggered in response to movement. The round counter provides additional time for values to be distributed to nodes in the network.
