  • Patent number: 7311793
Abstract: A laminate from which decorative films can be precisely applied to a substrate. The laminate includes a polymeric cover sheet having opposite outer and inner major surfaces. A layer of structured pressure sensitive adhesive is adhered to the inner major surface of the cover sheet. The structured pressure sensitive adhesive has a plurality of spaced passageways extending to at least one edge of the layer of structured pressure sensitive adhesive. A decorative film is adhered to the structured pressure sensitive adhesive. A second layer of pressure sensitive adhesive is adhered to the major surfaces of the decorative film opposite the layer of structured pressure sensitive adhesive. A release liner extends substantially across the second layer of pressure sensitive adhesive and a portion of the structured pressure sensitive adhesive.

  • Patent number: 7270723
Abstract: A breathable, elastic film/support layer laminate includes a thermoplastic elastomer film sheet of a thermoplastic elastomer and a filled semi crystalline predominantly linear polymer. The film includes between about 25 and 70 weight percent filler, between about 5 and 30 by weight percent semi-crystalline linear polymer, and between about 15 and 60 by weight percent elastomeric polymer. The filler is closely associated with the semi-crystalline linear polymer. The film demonstrates a load loss value at a 50 percent elongation of less than 50 percent, and a breathability of greater than 100 g/m2/24 hours and is laminated to a nonwoven layer.

  • Patent number: 7220332
Abstract: An electrical cable of the present invention comprises a plurality of spaced, parallel flat conductors. Each of the plurality of flat conductors was previously integral with each immediately adjacent flat conductor. A dielectric material is holds the conductors in the spaced, parallel relationship. The dielectric material can be a polymer film, a nonwoven, or other polymer materials such as PTFE, or expanded PTFE. The cable of the present invention is made by providing first and second webs of dielectric materials and a third sheet of conductive material. The first and second web materials are bonded to the third sheet of conductive material in a face-to-face layered relationship thereby forming a bonded laminate. The bonded laminate is then incrementally stretched to separate the sheet of conductive material in to spaced, parallel flat conductors.

  • Patent number: 7195688
Abstract: A process and device for manufacturing a primary unit pack of a wafer. A laminate comprising a carrier sheet and an active substance film is cross-cut at a predetermined length, detached from the carrier sheet, guided between two packaging material webs and, conveyed to a sealing station along with the packaging material webs. The packaging material webs are sealed to form a bag that is separated from the webs. The process includes detaching the carrier sheet from the active substance film, pulling the carrier sheet forward over the predetermined length of the wafer, simultaneously guiding the active substance film, which has been detached from the carrier sheet, without mechanical stress, the front end being between the packaging material webs which are in a resting condition, and is received and fixed by packaging material webs and transversely cut to form a wafer.

  • Patent number: 7192502
Abstract: A method and device for applying a label to a packet of cigarettes travelling in a given direction along a conveying path; to apply the label to the packet, a pickup head is fed along a feed path by rotating the pickup head about two axes parallel to each other, and by moving the pickup head radially with respect to one of the two axes.

  • Patent number: 7182828
Abstract: An artwork is made on a surface of a matrix or plate with acrylic paint and then allowing the paint to dry. A layer of a backing material adhesive, such as an acrylic gel, is next applied to the acrylic layer and a backing material (such as paper or cloth) is placed upon the gel, and the wet gel is then allowed to dry. The dry artwork is then removed from the matrix. The invention allows the inclusion within a single image of other media (wet or dry), such as paper, fabric, dry acrylic elements, watercolor, waterbase crayons and pencils, felt pens, waterbase inks, water mixable oil paints, oil pastels and oil paint sticks because of the bonding abilities of acrylics.

  • Patent number: 7156942
Abstract: Organic electroluminescent devices and methods of preparing such devices are provided. The organic electroluminescent devices include a first electrode, a light emitting structure, a second electrode, a conductive layer, and a non-conductive material. The light emitting structure is disposed between the first and second electrodes. The conductive layer is disposed on at least a portion of the second electrode and is in electrical communication with the second electrode through an opening in the non-conductive material.

  • Patent number: 7070669
Abstract: An improved process for producing ceramic thick film array elements is provided. In this regard, ceramic elements are formed on a temporary, or printing, substrate by screen printing or other forming methods. The temporary, or printing, substrate is advantageously provided with a release layer. This makes it possible to release the printed and soft-baked ceramic elements from the temporary substrate and transfer the ceramic elements to the sintering substrate. The contemplated release technique takes advantage of the phase transition of a liquid, e.g. water, to transfer the elements to a sintering substrate. After sintering and electrode deposition, the ceramic element array is bonded to a target substrate. Then, the sintering substrate is removed to make the array available for implementation in a variety of suitable environments.
