Patent number: 11024404Abstract: A system and method for medical image based patient-specific ischemic stroke risk prediction is disclosed. Left atrium (LA) and left atrium appendage (LAA) measurements are extracted from medical image data of a patient. Derived metrics for the LA and LAA of the patient are computed using a patient-specific computational model of cardiac function based on the LA and LAA measurements extracted from the medical image data of the patient. A stroke risk score for the patient is calculated based on the extracted LA and LAA measurements and the computed derived metrics for the LA and LAA of the patient using a trained machine learning based classifier, which inputs the extracted LA and LAA measurements and the computed derived metrics for the LA and LAA as features.Type: GrantFiled: February 6, 2017Date of Patent: June 1, 2021Assignee: Siemens Healthcare GmbHInventors: Viorel Mihalef, Puneet Sharma

Patent number: 11011266Abstract: A health provider matching service is provided to match patients to health providers based on a semantic relationship graph of data associated with conditions of patients. Using natural language processing, the service identifies terms describing symptoms, treatments, and health providers associated with a condition. The service then identifies semantic relations among the terms and probability distributions of the terms to generate a semantic relationship graph. Quality information of therapists is combined with machine learning techniques to identify features that are used to distinguish high quality and low quality providers. Based on the semantic relationship graph and the derived quality information, the service matches a patient to a health provider suitable to treat the particular needs of the patient. The service also handles social, behavioral, or emotional issues for which medications are not appropriate.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2016Date of Patent: May 18, 2021Assignee: LYRA HEALTH, INC.Inventors: Jessie M. Patent number: 10949975Abstract: A framework for patient management based on anatomic measurements is described herein. In accordance with one aspect, patient records are clustered into a set of sub-populations based on first anatomic measurements and characteristics extracted from first patient data associated with a population of patients. A representative sub-population similar to a patient may be determined from the set of sub-populations based on the patient data of the patient. A report that presents the second anatomic measurements associated with the patient in relation to corresponding first anatomic measurements associated with the representative sub-population may then be generated.Type: GrantFiled: April 1, 2016Date of Patent: March 16, 2021Assignee: Siemens Healthcare GmbHInventors: Luca Bogoni, Marcos Salganicoff, Matthias Wolf, Shu Liao, Yiqiang Zhan, Gerardo Hermosillo-Valadez, Xiang Sean Zhou, Zhigang Peng

Patent number: 10923231Abstract: Mechanisms are provided for administering health care assessments to a patient. The mechanisms analyze patient information stored in a patient registry and determine a plurality of health care assessments to be administered to the patient based on the patient information and one or more pre-defined health care assessment guidelines specifying conditions for which health care assessments are to be administered to patients and timing for administering the assessments to the patients. The mechanisms generate a sequence of health care assessments, in the plurality of health care assessments, based on the guidelines and the patient information. The sequence comprises an ordering of the health care assessments, and a timing interval between health care assessments, determined based on the guidelines and the patient information. The mechanisms administer at least one health care assessment to the patient in accordance with the determined sequence of health care assessments.Type: GrantFiled: March 23, 2016Date of Patent: February 16, 2021Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Karie L.
