  • Patent number: 11837202
Abstract: Disclosed is a torsion based tremolo apparatus that includes a moving plate rotatably coupled to a mounting plate. A torsion device imparts torsional force to the moving plate relative to the mounting plate around an axis of rotation. The mounting plate is used to attach the tremolo apparatus to a guitar or other string musical instrument. Adjustable bridge clamps and tuning plates coupled to the moving plate may be used to set the tension on the instrument strings as desired. Rotation of the moving plate relative to the mounting plate alters the tension on the instrument strings.

  • Patent number: 11823650
Abstract: A plectrum for strumming a stringed instrument has a body having a front face, a rear face, a pick tip, and an outer edge. An ergonomic contour is provided on the front face or the rear face of the body. In one version, the ergonomic contour extends radially from a central region to a position short of the outer edge of the plectrum, wherein the ergonomic contour creates a surface that is contactable by a thumb or other finger of a user to assist the user in using the plectrum and wherein the ergonomic contour does not interfere with using the outer edge during strumming. In another version, the ergonomic contour provides a tactile indication of the position, location, or orientation of a pick tip. The ergonomic contour can be in the form of a ridge and/or a change of thickness of the central region.

  • Patent number: 11810537
Abstract: A drum dampener kit with a dampener and stabilizers. The dampener includes an annular ring made from a relatively dense material such as steel, and a pad. The ring is the same as or slightly smaller than the drumhead. The width and thickness depend on the desired weight. The pad is a soft material attached by an adhesive either to the ring on the bottom or wrapped around the outside edge. The pad is a single piece around the entire circumference or a plurality of pad sections spaced around the ring. The stabilizer has a hook that hooks under the drum hoop and loops over the top of the hoop to a foot that holds the dampener onto the drumhead. Studs on the top of the ring and a complementary holes in each stabilizer provide a mechanism for retaining the dampener in the correct position on the drumhead.
