  • Patent number: 10351313
Abstract: A beverage container closure or lid adapted for closing an open end of a beverage container. The lid is couplable to the beverage container and includes a selectively openable stopper that when closed, creates a fluid-tight seal between the beverage container and the environment. The stopper may be opened by pressing a button disposed on a side of the beverage container closure. The stopper is subsequently automatically closed when the button is released. Thus, the user may open and close the beverage container closure using a single hand without the need to remove the beverage container closure from the beverage container. The beverage container closure includes an actuating lever configured to press the button when a user applies a force to the lever. By utilizing the mechanical advantage provided by the lever, a user is able to selectively open and close the stopper using a relatively low amount of force.

  • Patent number: 10347517
Abstract: A diffuser tower assembly having a diffuser with a flared end and a fitting with an offset portion and nipple sized for the flared end. The assembly may be configured for providing low coverage purging. Diffuser tower assemblies may be in the form of a kit for retrofitting existing front opening wafer containers. The inlet fitting may include structure that enhances purge characteristics near the base of the porous media diffuser for enhanced sweeping of the floor of the substrate container. Embodiments of the disclosure generate an uneven flow distribution that provides a non-uniform flow distribution at the opening. In an embodiment, where the opening is in a substantially vertical orientation, the non-uniform flow distribution is tailored to deliver a greater flow rate to the bottom half of the opening than to the top of the opening.

  • Patent number: 10337673
Abstract: This invention is a mechanism enabling rapid manual opening and closing of a pressure vessel lid without using tools. A pressure vessel bears two circular mating rings welded to the adjacent rims of the vessel lid and shell respectively with the latter ring grooved to house an O-ring. These mating rings are externally tapered to match the internal tapers of a pair of semi-circular external clamping elements. The mechanism applies tension at the vessel perimeter to draw the external clamping elements radially inward, engaging male and female tapers with sufficient force to compress the O-ring and maintain static clamping of the pressurized lid and shell. Tension is produced by levered rotation of two diametrically-opposed slotted plates where cylindrical pins mounted on the ends of the external clamping elements ride in the plate slots and cam action applies mechanical advantage causing the pins to converge.
