The power priority of the preamble is: higher than a power priority of the transport block based on the second cell being a primary cell; and lower than the power priority of the transport block based on the second cell being a secondary cell. The system receives an indication that a first device is connected to the first node and then receives a real-time buffer status report for the first UE which indicates how much data is being transmitted by the device. Based on determining that the real-time buffer status of the device is below a predetermined buffer status report threshold, the system dynamically re-directs the device to disconnect from the first node and connect to the second node.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for setting a carrier-sensing mechanism in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be used—one indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets the carrier-sensing mechanism based on the preamble detection.

    Abstract: Messages are transmitted in closely-spaced subcarriers in 5G and 6G, configured so that each subcarrier signal is orthogonal to the adjacent subcarrier signals. However, many effects can penetrate that orthogonality—distortion, interference, frequency variations, amplitude variations, crosstalk, etc.—collectively termed energy spill-over. To combat this problem, a receiver can determine the total energy spill-over into adjacent subcarriers by measuring a residual signal in a subcarrier with no transmission, adjacent to another subcarrier with a known transmission. The receiver can measure the amplitude, phase, temporal or spectral properties, and so forth of the residual signal. The receiver can then correct the message during signal processing, by calculating a function of the residual signal and subtracting it from each digitized subcarrier signal of a message.
