The flange overlaps a free end of the socket of the adjoining link to provide a smooth and aesthetic support for the garment over a range of positions of the support arm.

    Abstract: A garment secure transport bar for supporting garment hangers on a garment transport cart. A rotating outer bar with a parallel securing bar rotates about an inner support bar. The inner support bar is fixed between two mounting brackets that attach to the top of a garment transport cart. Hangers can be hung on the bar and the securing bar rotated to secure the hangers in place and prevent them from bouncing off the cart. In an alternate embodiment, the transport bar is adjustable in length, so as to be capable of supporting garments on a variety of different size transport carts.

The two sub-compartments are open on only one side such that as they adjoin when both sub-compartments are in a closed position a single compartment is formed. The basket is stable when either or both sub-compartments is opened as well.
