  • Patent number: 11308057
Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for multiplexer tree (muxtree) indexing. Muxtree indexing performs hashing and row reduction in parallel by use of each select bit only once in a particular path of the muxtree. The muxtree indexing generates a different final index as compared to conventional hashed indexing but still results in a fair hash, where all table entries get used with equal distribution with uniformly random selects.

  • Patent number: 11301467
Abstract: Embodiments may provide methods and systems for intelligent capture and fast transformation of granulated data summaries. An engine may be used to transform input data summaries into result sets representing query outcomes. The data summaries contain enough knowledge about the original data to accurately perform operations on the summaries without needing to access the original data. In an embodiment, the contents of data summaries are accessible via an SQL approximate engine which retrieves summaries stored on disk and utilizes them for its operations. Alternatively, the contents of data summaries are accessible via virtual tables which give users direct access to the summary contents and allow for the creation and implementation of algorithms to work with the data summaries independently from the SQL approximate engine.

  • Patent number: 11281736
Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating query mapping information that associates each of a number of search queries to a corresponding preferred query form to be used in generating search results. A number of queries previously submitted by users may be normalized, then grouped together with other queries sharing the same normalized form. A preferred query form for each group may then be selected. One or more inaccurate mappings may be identified in the initial mapping results based on an analysis of the user behavior of users who previously submitted the search queries included in a given query mapping. A final set of mapped queries may then be generated for use in responding to subsequent search requests, where the final set includes a number of mappings that each associate a particular user-submitted query with a corresponding preferred query form.

  • Patent number: 11281661
Abstract: A blockchain node obtains first service data. An attribute value of the first service data is determined, where the attribute value is used to represent uniqueness of the first service data. The blockchain node determines whether the first service data has been processed based on stored attribute values of second service data that has been processed and the attribute value of the first service data. In response to determining that the first service data has not been processed, the blockchain node processes the first service data.

  • Patent number: 11275722
Abstract: An indexing system indexes data entries in a database and processes queries of the database. The indexing system generates a key database storing keys that each represent a vector of a relative attribute between two data entries. For instance, a temporal distance indicates a relative time between timestamps of events represented by the two data entries. In other embodiments, relative attributes may be based on physical proximity, altitude, semantics, etc. The indexing system may also generate a key space database to enable efficient lookup of events associated with a target entity for indexing new data entries. For example, the indexing system may perform one read operation using the key space database to lookup all events associated with the target entity. Furthermore, the indexing system may determine responses for queries to retrieve events that occurred within a target temporal distance before or after a target type of event.

  • Patent number: 11269908
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for cross-system journey modeling based on relation of machine data. An example method includes obtaining information describing a user journey that includes multiple steps, each step corresponding to a query to be applied to one or more field-searchable data stores storing events, each event including a portion of machine data that reflects activity in an information technology environment and that is produced by a component of that information technology environment, and each event being associated with a timestamp extracted from the portion of machine data of that event. Events returned as a result of the query of each step are related. The results of the relating are displayed.

  • Patent number: 11269889
Abstract: Data structures and applications are defined with the point-and-click visual tools or speech recognition and recorded as metadata descriptions, which are converted at runtime to generate underlying software code (e.g., C #, SQL, JavaScript, etc.) to implement the application. The data structures include application data elements described in a data serialization format, such as JSON, are stored in a NoSQL database. Each application data element includes fields that each represent an individual value. Each field is defined with a label, a data type, and attributes. The data structures also describe relationships or links between application data elements, as well as data-driven or time-based rules that drive further data manipulation and interactions within and external to the programming development environment through a variety of interfaces (e.g. HTTP, SMTP, SMS).

  • Patent number: 11256670
Abstract: A method may include obtaining metadata associated with first and second data sets that may be stored at remote computing devices. The method may also include constructing a first database based on the metadata, and performing a first processing task on the first data set. The first processing task may include obtaining raw data of the first data set, and importing the raw data of the first data set into a second database that may be configured as a relational database. The first processing task may also include generating relationships in the second database between entries of the first data set to facilitate anticipated responses to queries. The method may additionally include performing a second processing task different from the first processing task on the second data set, and after performing the first processing task, receiving a query that invokes the first data set, and responding to the query.

  • Patent number: 11244015
Abstract: Systems and methods for recommending content to an online service user are presented. In response to a request from a user, a set of n-grams of the request are generated, with each n-gram comprising one or more terms from the request and each n-gram of the set of n-grams being unique. Embedding vectors projecting the n-grams into a content item embedding space are generated, and the embedding vectors are combined into a representative embedding vector for the request. The nearest content items are identified according to a distance measure between a projection of the representative embedding vector and embedding vectors of content items of a corpus of content items in the content item embedding space. At least some of the nearest content items are returned as recommended content in response to the request from the user.

  • Patent number: 11222062
Abstract: A request for information (RFI) system is provided for use in communications networks including broadcast networks and the Internet. In one implementation, a code identifying an item of media content of interest (e.g. television, newspaper, magazines, billboards, radio) is captured and input to an RFI system that includes stored media tags and a search tool for matching inputs to the stored media tags. Upon receipt of the captured code, the RFI system matches the captured code with the stored media tags and provides a response to the user based on the match. The response may include or relate to follow-on or premium information relating to the content of interest. Using this information, an RFI data center or an RFI platform may credit value to a rewards account established for the network user based on the user's verified consumption of assets and/or data requests.

  • Patent number: 11204920
Abstract: A device may receive a user-specified query, and may construct the user-specified query as a query tree of operators that include zero or more operands. The device may produce, for each of the operators, a weight that indicates how valuable or confident a determination of relevancy of each of the operators is in relation to siblings in the query tree. The device may normalize the weights for the siblings in the query tree with a parent operator according to a normalization formula. The device may produce, for each of the operators, a score, normalized to a value from zero to one and computed for the document, that represents how relevant the document is to the user-specified query. The device may apply the query tree to the document as a whole as well as to positions within the document to determine the final normalized score for the document.
