Abstract: An investment management computer system is configured to communicate with data vendors or electronic accounting systems. The system may include an electronic application server having logic for performing analysis of an investment portfolio including aggregating a plurality of securities in the investment portfolio by security type, portfolio monitoring, and reporting holdings of the portfolio. The application server may further include data load logic for receiving either a completely refreshed data set or an incrementally refreshed data set; validating the received data to promote a complete transmission and to promote a correct as-of-date transmission for the received data; and, updating the data stored in the database server database with the received data.

Abstract: A purchase information collecting method collecting reliable purchase information about any kind of commodity using a network. In the purchase information collecting method, a server apparatus is used, which communicates with a seller computer and a purchaser computer, and which stores received sales information in the first storing part when the sales information identifies a deal about a commodity and is generated and transmitted by the seller computer. The server apparatus, when receiving purchase information, which consists of personal information of a purchaser of a commodity and the sales information that is presented to the purchaser by a seller of the commodity, judges whether the sales information included in the received purchase information is stored in the first storing part. If the sales information is stored, the server apparatus stores the received purchase information as valid purchase information in the second storing part.

Abstract: In accordance with the principles of the present invention, a method for trading and clearing a volatility or variance-defined, standardized derivative financial instrument is provided. A financial instrument in either volatility or variance terms is negotiated. The realized variance to date on an underlying of that derivative financial instrument is determined. After the derivative financial instrument is negotiated and the realized variance to date is determined, at least one centrally-cleared financial instrument with a price derived from the volatility or variance terms and the realized variance to date on the underlying of that derivative financial instrument is delivered. Thus, a financial instrument negotiated in either volatility or variance terms is substituted with an equivalent position in a standardized, centrally-cleared financial instrument.

Abstract: A system and method for assigning taxability codes to purchases, and processing tax invoices, by company groups. A user, identified to one of a group of companies, inputs a requisition. Tax code and tax location are identified in a front end process applicable to the object of the requisition and converted into a converted tax code and tax jurisdiction and fed to a back end processor. Responsive to converted tax code and the tax jurisdiction for the corresponding company group, the back end prepares a purchase order which is transmitted to a supplier. Responsive to an invoice from the supplier and company group and tax code indicia from the purchase order, the back end processes and selectively pays, short pays, or rejects the invoice.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes an approach to constructing and implementing risk rating products that provides a number of advantages. Instead of hard-coding attributes of a risk rating scheme, which requires the assistance of a trained programming specialist for any modifications, adjustments, or new products, the present invention provides a set of modular tools that assist non-specialists in on-the-fly generation and implementation of risk rating products. The modularity of this approach facilitates the modification and/or updating of a system component without affecting the operation of other components. Described herein are embodiments of a risk evaluation product builder, which allows users to manipulate visual tools to generate a data-structure comprising an embodiment of a risk rating scheme and insurance quoting product.
