Abstract: A system described herein may provide techniques for providing secure, configurable, network services via a dynamic gateway. Network services may be provided using virtual machines, pods, and/or containers. The dynamic gateway may provide hosted services and edge site services. The dynamic gateway may provide separate secure access to the hosted services and edge site services, utilizing different administrator credentials for the hosted services and edge site services. A host services orchestrator may receive usage information from the dynamic gateway. The host services orchestrator may generate a usage prediction based on the received information. The host services orchestrator may, based on the usage prediction, allocate provided services between edge site and hosted services and may further allocate hardware and/or software resources of the dynamic gateway.

Abstract: Embodiments include a computer implemented method for automatically identifying an issue from a help message received via a chat interface and generating a response for responding to the help message. The method can include receiving one or more response templates that each include a reference to a resource associated with a help topic. The method can also include receiving, from a second user, a help request via the chat interface of a help channel. In response to receiving the help request the method can include parsing the help request to identify a help topic, generating a help desk ticket associated with the help request and generating a response message that includes an information resource associated with the help topic, and sending the response message to the user. In response to the user viewing the information resource and selecting a user interface element, the method can include automatically closing the help desk ticket.

Abstract: Techniques for chatbots, and more particularly, to techniques for using a directed acyclic graph (DAG) based framework to build and train models. In one particular aspect, a computer implemented method is provided that includes generating, by a DAG based framework, a first model and a second model, executing the first model for a chatbot in run-time and second model for the chatbot in design-time, collecting attributes for intent classification associated with a set of utterances with the chatbot running the first model and the second model, evaluating, using one or more metrics, performance of the first model and the second model based on an analysis of the attributes for the intent classification, determining whether the performance of the second model is improved as compared to the performance of the first model, and executing the first model or the second model for the chatbot in run-time based on the performance determination.

Abstract: A novel method for troubleshooting a logical network is provided. The logical network has logical forwarding elements operating inside virtual network forwarding engines. The method receives a source identifier and a destination identifier that correspond to nodes in the logical network. The method then retrieves a set of network data from a virtual network forwarding engine and identifies a path in the logical network by traversing the logical network according to the retrieved set of network data. This traversal starts at an initial network node that is identified by the source identifier and continues through a set of next-hop network nodes that are each identified based on the destination identifier. At least some of the network nodes are logical ports associated with logical forwarding elements implemented by the virtual network forwarding engine. The method then reports the set of traversed logical nodes.

Abstract: A computerized system for detecting connections in a network, including one or more data collectors configured to collect connection data from the network, one or more connection analyzers configured to analyze the connection data and extract connection dependencies, which include a connecting resource that depends on the existence of a connected resource and a connection type, a connection table that stores the connection dependencies, an interface that is configured to provide access to the connection table to retrieve a list of connecting resources that depend on accessing a given connected resource.

Abstract: Methods and systems described herein are directed to troubleshooting anomalous behavior in a data center. Anomalous behavior in an object of a data center, such as a computational resource, an application, or a virtual machine (“VM”), may be related to the behavior of other objects at different hierarchies of the data center. Methods and systems provide a graphical user interface that enables a user to select a selected metric associated with an object of the data center experiencing a performance problem. Unexpected metrics of an object topology of the data center that correspond to the performance problem are identified. A recommendation for executing remedial measures to correct the performance problem is generated based on the unexpected metrics.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for a smart communications assistant with an audio interface. One method includes an operation for getting messages addressed to a user. The messages are from one or more message sources and each message comprising message data that includes text. The method further includes operations for analyzing the message data to determine a meaning of each message, for generating a score for each message based on the respective message data and the meaning of the message, and for generating a textual summary for the messages based on the message scores and the meaning of the messages. A speech summary is created based on the textual summary and the speech summary is then sent to a speaker associated with the user. The audio interface further allows the user to verbally request actions for the messages.

Abstract: In some aspects, the disclosure is directed to methods and systems for synchronized multi-client content delivery, and a content selection system based on individual and aggregated scores for the content items, to generate bundles or sets of content items having approximately corresponding scores. Server timers and local timers on client devices may be synchronized via notifications, and timer durations dynamically adjusted when client requests and responses are sent prior to client-side timer expiration, but received after server-side timer expiration, indicating communication latency has caused desynchronization. Timers may be adjusted on a global basis or per-client device basis. Through scoring and bundling, sets of content items that may be relevant to approximately an equal share of the recipient client devices may be selected and transmitted.

Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide a method for collecting metric values relating to operations of a set of one or more resources executing on host computers in a datacenter. In some embodiments, the method hierarchically collects and analyzes samples, with a first set of samples collected and analyzed in the data plane, and a second set of samples collected and analyzed in the control plane by aggregating the samples collected in the data plane. In some embodiments, the data plane includes host computers on which sample collecting engines (e.g., service engines) execute, while the control plane includes a set of one or more servers that obtains sample data collected by the host computers, and aggregates and analyzes this data.

Abstract: Disclosed is a domain engineering analysis solution that determines relevance of a domain name to a brand name in which a domain name, brand name, and identification of a substring of the domain name may be provided to or obtained by a computer embodying a domain engineering analyzer. A list of features may be determined. The list of features may include a lexicon, or a set of key-value pairs that encode information about terms included as substrings in the domain name. Determining the features may include obtaining a language model for each term, analyzing a cluster of language models closest to the obtained language model, and determining and scoring a relevance of each term to the brand name. The determined relevance and score of each term may be provided to a client. This relevance analysis can be dynamically applied in an online process or proactively applied in an offline process.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing a dynamically expandable conference call system using load balancing are described herein. Various examples use a media replication server. The media replication server accesses state information of one or more media control units. The state information is used to instantiate one or more media control unit high availability pairs. The media replication server further replicates media received into the conference call system by transmitting the received media to both an active media control unit and a standby media control unit. The media replication server may make modifications to the media control units handling a conference call to adjust for varying conditions such as a failure of one or more of the media control units or the addition of clients to the conference call.

Abstract: A device and method is provided for signaling an affinity of a peer device. According to one embodiment, the device receives a wireless signal from the peer device and determines the presence of the peer device based on the received signal. The device is able to detect the peer device when the peer device is within the vicinity or a certain proximity of the device. The received signal carries an affinity code of the peer device so that the device can detect the affinity of the peer device by comparing the received affinity code with its preset affinity code. If the two affinity code match, the device notifies the user of the presence of another user and signals that the two users share the same affinity.

Abstract: Node clustering configuration is disclosed herein. An example method includes determining nodes of a cluster, each of the nodes having a unique identifier and a cluster identifier for the cluster, determining a voting configuration for the cluster, the voting configuration defining a quorum of master-eligible nodes of the nodes, the voting configuration being adaptable so as to maintain an optimal level of fault tolerance for the cluster, and electing one of the master-eligible nodes as a master node.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for managing access between a data storage server and a client that are on the same local network. Access is managed using a cloud service that is remote from both the data storage server and the client requesting access to the server. The cloud-based management of local connections described herein simplifies the process of connecting to a data storage server on a local network from a client program or device. Connections are authorized based on the use of a local code. The local code is generated by the cloud service and includes a concatenation of a device identifier associated with the data storage server and a time-varying value, such as a timestamp.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for generating for display a notification to a plurality of users at a position within a display screen to which each user of the plurality of users is paying attention. Specifically, the media guidance application captures lines of sight of users who are paying attention to a display screen, based on which the media guidance application determines line-of-sight regions on the display screen that the users are paying attention to. The media guidance application then determines a display area that is noticeable to the users based on the respective line-of-sight regions on the display screen to display an electronic message.

Abstract: Populating a routing dataset for a load balancing system with service capability data is provided. The approach includes requesting a production environment to perform a service. Based on the production environment indicating that it does not have the capability of performing the requested service, the method includes storing data in a routing dataset, the data including an indicator indicating that the production environment is incapable of performing the service.

Abstract: A method implemented through a server of a cloud computing network including subscribers of application acceleration as a service provided therethrough includes sampling time series data associated with each network entity for each feature thereof into a smaller time interval as a first data series and a second data series including a maximum value and a minimum value respectively of the sampled time series data for the each feature within the smaller time interval, and generating a reference data band from predicted future data sets. The method also includes detecting, based on the reference data band, an anomaly in real-time data associated with the each network entity for the each feature thereof and determining an event associated with a pattern of change of the real-time data associated with the each network entity based on executing an optimization algorithm to determine a series of anomalies including the detected anomaly.
