  • Patent number: 8439164
Abstract: A knock-down sawhorse has a support beam supported above a surface by at least two pairs of legs, each pair of legs supporting opposing ends of the beam. The beam has at least four connectors, at least a first pair of connectors arranged on opposing lateral side walls at one end and at least a second pair of connectors arranged on opposing lateral side walls at the other opposing end. Each connector has a tab downwardly depending from a top wall of the beam for engaging an axially-extending recess in an upper end of each leg. Each pair of legs is interconnected by an adjuster for adjusting a lateral spacing therebetween. Manipulation of the lateral spacing between each pair of legs allows a working height of the sawhorse to be manipulated, allowing the sawhorse to be leveled.

  • Patent number: 8413763
Abstract: A rescue line apparatus is configured as a horizontal tether for being readily connected between a door and a portion of the door jamb or other entry location and extending a line as the user moves within the structure. The device allows the user to readily locate their way back for egressing the structure, and can be readily disengaged by the user, which activates a braking system that prevents unit “run-away”. A multi-attach anchor head couples the far end of the line to any desired structure, and has a beacon assembly which outputs a light pattern of sufficient brightness to be seen by the user when visually locating their attachment point within the structure. A multi-element visual indicator is configured for indicating line extension distance, and displaying tether line status. Many options promote safety and a fully cooperative environment.

  • Patent number: 8333263
Abstract: This implement attaches to the hydraulic system of a front-end loader for a tractor or similar vehicle. It has two planar surfaces, a deck and a back, that are fastened together at an approximately 90 degree angle. The deck is constructed primarily of wooden or synthetic boards or sheets, supported below or above by two or more steel angle irons or channel irons bolted to the boards or sheets. The back consists of a similar combination of boards or sheets, irons, and bolts, with a grill or strips possibly replacing some boards or sheets in the upper part. Each deck support is fastened to a back support using one or two steel braces or gussets, bolted or welded to the supports. Two steel yokes are fastened to the back, suitable for attaching the carrier to the front-end loader hydraulics. The carrier can be lifted and tilted by the front-end loader system, just as the system would do with its normal bucket attachment.

  • Patent number: 8251180
Abstract: The ladder stabilizer apparatus provides for removable attachment to two rungs of a ladder. The case provides pivoting sleeves that may be indirectly or directly controlled by the apparatus crank, whereby either the sleeves or the sleeves with arms with optional vertical rollers are moved toward and away from the ladder. Rollers are provided for a given surface contact with the apparatus. Movement of the sleeves and the sleeves with arms provides for the contact devices to be positioned partially around a structure or object corner, within a corner, or any position between. The contact devices may be positioned outside boundaries of a window, for example, to provide a user best access to a window or other area that is not designed to have a ladder rested against it. The apparatus may be adjusted while in use.
