Abstract: A system includes a media optimizer that adaptively generates and transmits a modified manifest file based on an original manifest file corresponding to an associated media asset from a content provider in response to a media content request from a client for the associated media asset. The original manifest file specifies bitrates. The media optimizer extracts parameters associated with the media content request and applies bitrate policies based on the extracted parameters to adaptively modify the original manifest file to generate the modified manifest file. The media optimizer is further configured to transmit the modified manifest file to the client for selection by the client of a bitrate associated with delivery of the associated media asset.

Abstract: A server computer is connected to a plurality of client computers through a network, and controls objects in a Metaverse accessed by the client computers. The server computer includes a storage unit for storing an object ID specifying an object accessible in the Metaverse by the plurality of client computers and authenticity information associated with the object ID. The authenticity information indicates that the object is genuine. The server computer also includes a communication unit for communicating with each of the client computers. The server computer also includes an enquiry unit for causing the communication unit to transmit the authenticity information corresponding to the object ID to at least one of the plurality of client computers upon receipt of an enquiry request to enquire about the object ID of the object from one of the plurality of client computers.
Abstract: Methods, apparatus and computer program products implement embodiments of the present invention that include identifying, by a first computer, multiple network paths to a second computer, and splitting an input/output (I/O) request for a logical volume stored on the second computer into sub-requests. A probe request defining an association between the I/O request and the sub-requests is conveyed to the second computer, and each of the sub-requests is assigned to a respective one of the multiple network paths. Each of the sub-requests are conveyed to the second computer via the assigned respective one of the multiple network paths, and the sub-requests are received by the second computer via the multiple network paths. The second computer performs the sub-requests in response to the association, and a result of each of the sub-requests is conveyed to the first computer via the assigned respective one of the multiple network paths.

Abstract: A management system includes an information processing apparatus; a management apparatus; and a load balancing apparatus. And the management apparatus specifies a first processing entity that relates to a first application program whose performance is not guaranteed, upon detecting that a value related to a load of a second processing entity that relates to a second application program whose performance is guaranteed is equal to or greater than a first predetermined threshold, and requests the information processing apparatus to stop the first processing entity, and the information processing apparatus requests the load balancing apparatus to stop allocating processing to the first processing entity, stops the first processing entity upon detecting that a value related to a load of the first processing entity is equal to or less than a second predetermined threshold, and causes a third processing entity to start processing for the second application program.
