Abstract: An interactive globe device may include a base, a spherical globe rotatable around an axle mounted to the base, and a stylus for selecting locations on the spherical globe. The base may include an integrated display, and control buttons for switching the operating mode of the interactive globe device. The spherical globe may have dot patterns printed on its surface, and the stylus may include an optical sensor configured to detect the dot patterns on the spherical globe as locations being selected by the user. The interactive globe device may also include a processor to dynamically adjust mapping of the dot patterns into different regions based on the operating mode of the interactive globe device, determine which of the regions for the operating mode corresponds to a dot pattern detected by the stylus, and render interactive content on the integrated display based on the determined region.
Abstract: A support device includes an outer shaft having a first end and a second end. The support device also includes an inner shaft adjustably coupled to the outer shaft. The support device further includes a mounting rod pivotally attached to the inner shaft and removably coupled to a mannequin component. The mounting rod includes a plurality of attachment nubs spaced apart from each other along a length of the mounting rod. The plurality of attachment numbs are further angularly spaced apart from each other with respect to a central axis of the mounting rod. The support device also includes a release button, which, upon actuation, is configured to move each of the plurality of attachment nubs from an extended position to a retracted position to allow the mannequin component to be movable relative to the mounting rod.
Abstract: A burn tray (10) for a burner (1) simulates flames in fire simulation systems. The burn tray (10) has a pressurized chamber (20) with a tray (21) and with a cover element (22). The tray (21) and the cover element (22) are arranged fixed to one another with the formation of at least one gap (30). At least one comb plate (40) is arranged in the at least one gap (30). The comb plate (40) has webs (41) and free spaces (42). The present invention further pertains to a burner (1) for simulated flames in fire simulation systems as well as a fire simulation system.
Abstract: Systems, methods, and tangibly-implemented software instructions for supporting a teleoperated surgical system (TSS). A surgical input that includes monitored events of the TSS, is received. A current stage of the surgical procedure is autonomously determined based on the surgical input. A call for surgeon assistance may be detected, in response to which context-relevant assistance may be provided to a surgeon console of the TSS, the context-relevant assistance being stage-synchronized with the surgical procedure.
Abstract: A self-adhesive and reusable support for notes is disclosed. The support comprises a flat laminar body (1-1?-1?) that in turn comprises a first flat surface (10) and a second flat surface (11) opposite from the first surface. The flat laminar body comprises micro suction cups (3) distributed in a staggered pattern on the first flat surface and a writable surface (4) on the second surface. The self-adhesive and reusable support for notes is manufactured from opaque polymeric calendered vinyl. The support is reusable, meaning that it can be used as many times as desired, without the risk of losing the self-adhesive properties thereof even when the location thereof is constantly changed, as well as writing with marker or highlighter and erasing it again. Due to the nature thereof, it is especially suitable for use in the Kanban method.
Abstract: The present specification discloses an entertainment/educational system having one or more interactive stations having associated systems comprising apparatus and activities that demonstrate various physical phenomenon. Each interactive station comprises a different system featuring differing apparatus that provides users the ability to form various types and numbers of bubbles that the users can experience and interact with. User progression and interaction with a particular set of/order of interactive stations is correlated with lessons about physical phenomena exemplified by the bubbles made at a particular station of the total stations visited. The lessons may be further enhanced by information provided to users via a poster, handout, booklet or other informative media or information provided by a guide/attendant escorting user(s) through the set of stations.
