Abstract: An information processing apparatus for generating a template in which is arranged a plurality of areas where content data can be inserted, includes a setting unit configured to associate the areas with one another, a determination unit configured to determine based on the content data whether the areas are to be arranged in a vertical direction or in a horizontal direction as an arrangement direction, a layout unit configured to arrange the areas in the arrangement direction determined by the determination unit, an input unit configured to input the content data into the areas arranged by the layout unit, and an output unit configured to output the areas where the content data is inserted by the input unit.

Abstract: A progress displaying system and the method thereof are provided. The system and the method thereof are applicable to mileage calculating devices. By generating progress displaying graphs during mileage calculations according to the moving speeds and completed percentages at different time points, and continuously showing progress displaying graphs until the completed percentage is completely fulfilled, the system and the method thereof can achieve the goal of vividly reflecting user's current status during the progress display.

Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for analyzing an unstructured document that includes a number of glyphs. The method identifies boundaries between sets of glyphs. The method identifies that several of the boundaries form a table. The method defines a tabular structural element based on the table. The tabular structural element includes several cells arranged in a plurality of rows and columns, each of which includes an associated set of glyphs.

Abstract: An analyzing unit analyzes components of input information. An area generating unit generates information on an area-representing image. A preview generating unit generates information on a preview in which the area-representing images are overlapped for each page. An operation display unit displays the information on the preview and information on a function to be performed, and accepts an instruction for setting the function. Upon accepting the instruction for the function, the preview generating unit further generates information on a preview with a processing according to the instruction performed.

Abstract: A computer implemented method, apparatus, and computer program code readily identifies authenticated content within webpage having user customizable content. A request to display a wiki page is received. Responsive to receiving the request, a wiki markup file with a wiki signature block is identified. The wiki markup file contains signed content and unsigned content. The signature block identifies the signed content within the wiki markup file. Signed content is verified and an edited wiki page is generated from the signed content and the unsigned content. Signed content is visibly distinguished from the unsigned content.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for forwarding a web address to another web address is presented. A web forwarder receives a request destined to a first web address including at least a domain name. The web forwarder then determines a forwarding uniform resource locator (URL) that corresponds to the domain name and redirects the request to a second web address that corresponds to the forwarding URL.

Abstract: The present invention allows a web form submitted by a web user to be routed to an analysis system in real-time. Specifically, once a requested web page has been fully loaded and parsed, any existing submit methods and/or on-submit handlers attached to web forms within the web page are replaced with a new submit method and on-submit handler. When a valid web form is submitted by the user, the destination of the web form is changed to the analysis system, by the new submit method, for a fixed period of time. After the period of time has expired, the original destination is reinstated and the web form is routed thereto.

Abstract: An automated electronic filing system including a web server coupled to a wide area network, a receiving agency server coupled to the wide area network, and a client machine coupled to the wide area network for communication with the web server. The web server serves as an interface to the receiving agency server, the client machine providing information to the web server forming at least a part of an electronic document to be filed with the receiving agency server by the web server. The web server and the receiving agency server can communicate directly with each other without going through the wide area network, such as via a local area network (not shown) or by a direct connection between the servers (also not shown). Preferably, the web server and the receiving agency server communicate with each other over the wide area network, which is preferably a TCP/IP protocol network such as the Internet.

Abstract: In particular embodiments, a method for editing a web page includes identifying a plurality of components that collectively form a programmatic representation of a first web page. At least one of the components has content that dynamically changes in response to data retrieved externally from the content. A second web page is generated. The second web page includes a plurality of parameters. Each parameter of the second web page corresponds to a respective one of the identified plurality of components. One or more modifications made to the plurality of parameters are interpreted. A programmatic representation of a third web page is generated, the generation based at least in part on the interpretation.

Abstract: A mechanism for constructing a software-based instrument panel or front panel in which the components correspond directly with sections of code in a textual language program is disclosed. The textual language program relates to how the panel updates and operates in a continuous fashion. Icons representing panel components are selected from a component library window displayed to a user. The act of dragging the icon representing the components into the Graphical Panel Layout Window automatically causes the corresponding code to be added to the textual language program and displayed to the user in a Program Dialog Window. The present invention displays both a Graphical Panel Layout Window showing the components in the instrument panel and a Program Dialog Window showing the lines of code for the textual language program controlling the operation of the components in the instrument panel. A library containing I/O dialog devices is also presented and displayed to a user.

Abstract: A method is provided for encoding device independent multi-modal content including an arrangement comprising one or more of a plurality of tokens, where each token corresponds to a standard predefined effect. The method includes defining a token for one or more standard predefined effects, wherein the token is adapted for being mapped to one or more effect producing elements in a target device. One or more tokens are then composed for playback together as an arrangement.

Abstract: Techniques are described for sharing multidimensional data and associated annotations between software systems. As described herein, the techniques provide mechanisms for defining inter-application “links” for automatically copying data and associated annotations among databases associated with the enterprise software systems. For example, a system may include a first database storing multidimensional data for a first software application, and a second database storing multidimensional data for a second software application. The system further includes an interface by which an administrator defines a link that specifies a source area of the first database and a target area of the second database. A link control module automatically moves multidimensional data and annotations associated with cells or cubes of the multidimensional data from the source area to the target area in accordance with the link.

Abstract: Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to receive, sequentially, individual lines of information included in a file stored in an electronic storage medium; to locate one or more tables in a spreadsheet when at least two of the lines in a sequence are consecutive lines that begin with a non-empty cell and have a matching length; to determine a vertical orientation or a horizontal orientation of the tables based on an arrangement of the information within the lines and across the lines; and to create metadata from the information, based on the arrangement. Abstract: Techniques to dynamically modify themes based on messaging. An apparatus may comprise a processor and a memory communicatively coupled to the processor. The memory may store a theme manager component and a user interface component. The theme manager component, when executed by the processor, may be operative to receive a message from a message author and select a theme based on message content of the message. The user interface component, when executed by the processor, may be operative to dynamically display a user interface view with the selected theme. In this manner, a theme associated with a user may be dynamically and automatically modified based on personalized information about a user. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: A method and systems for copying textual objects from source documents into an object document, and for tagging, linking and processing said copied textual portions, including the disclosure of a new type of hyperlinking mechanism, for enabling to identify and trace the sources and the authorship of said copied textual portions or of all textual sub-portions or fragments of text that could be generated from said copied textual portions by editing the object document. The invention can be implemented by means of software implementing the disclosed system and method running on word-processors and web browsers.
