  • Patent number: 10284426
Abstract: A service node capability processing method and apparatus, a service classifier and service controller are described. The method includes: determining an exchange information set of service nodes on a service function chaining for processing a data packet, wherein the exchange information set includes an intersection of capabilities of the service nodes on the service function chaining; and encapsulating the exchange information set in the data packet, wherein the exchange information set is used for the service nodes to read a processing result which is obtained by processing capability corresponding to the intersection of the capabilities of the service nodes and which is encapsulated in the data packet. In such a fashion, the problem in the related technology is addressed that the blind information exchange causes the waste of resources since the information exchange between nodes is untargeted, and consequentially effectively avoids the waste of field resources by invalid information exchange.

  • Patent number: 10278105
Abstract: AP's associated with a communication network and any wireless devices desiring contact, operated according to a protocol in which each wireless device selects AP's with which to communicate. A system coordinator causes the AP's to operate so as to guide each wireless device to an AP selected by the system coordinator. This has the effect that, notwithstanding that the protocol involves having the wireless device make the selection of AP, functionally, the AP's make the selection for it. In a 1st technique, multiple AP's share an identifier, with the system coordinator directing one particular AP to respond to the wireless device, thus appearing to wireless devices as a “personal cell”. In a 2nd technique, AP's each maintain identifiers substantially unique to each wireless device, with the system coordinator directing only one particular AP to maintain any particular wireless device's identifier, thus appearing to wireless devices as a “personal AP”.

  • Patent number: 10243787
Abstract: The present invention provides a platform that enables devices, services and applications to be connected together. An in-home gateway device provides the hub for this connectivity, by connecting and coordinating in-home (and/or in-office) devices and cloud-based services. Creating a “connected environment” via this platform requires co-ordinating multiple device manufacturers and service providers, and multiple standards/protocols. Advantageously, the platform removes the requirement for different manufacturers of different devices to adopt common protocols to enable device connection, and further, the platform removes the burden of configuration away from the consumer.
