  • Patent number: 12593296
Abstract: A method of access domain preference selection for mobile originating short message service (MO SMS) using Attention (AT) command in EPS/5GS is provided. A new AT command is defined to specify the preferred access domain for UE to use for MO SMS over NAS messages when the UE supports non-3GPP access (e.g., in 5GS) and 3GPP access (e.g., in EPS/5GS). The set AT command (+CADSMS=[<access domain preference>]) is provided for the purpose of specify the access preference that the UE will use to send MO SMS over NAS message, the read AT command (+CADSMS?) returns the currently selected access preference, and a test AT command (+CADSMS=?) returns the supported access preference as a compound value.

  • Patent number: 12401583
Abstract: A system and method for providing feedback to a user of a wireless ultrasound probe regarding a wireless link quality between the ultrasound probe and a display device is provided. The method includes receiving, by a display processor of a display device, an acquisition frame rate from a wireless ultrasound probe. The method includes determining, by the display processor, an analysis interval length based on the acquisition frame rate and a wireless connection state loss threshold. The method includes receiving and counting ultrasound image frames wirelessly transmitted to the display device from the wireless ultrasound probe during the analysis interval length. The method includes determining that a number of lost ultrasound frames during the analysis interval length exceeds the wireless connection state loss threshold. The method includes causing a display system of the display device to present a bad connection state identifier.

  • Patent number: 12126701
Abstract: A method of compensating for potential interruptions in a wireless spatially selective connection over which data at a first compression level is transmitted from a host device to a client device involves determining (S32) that an interruption to the wireless spatially selective connection over which data is being transmitted at a first compression level to a client device is starting or is due to start, compressing (S3Y3) the data at a second compression level that is higher than the first compression level, and forwarding (S34) the data compressed at the second compression level to a transmitting component for wireless spatially non-selective broadcast while the interruption to the spatially selective connection occurs. Determining that the interruption is due to start may involve analysing a historical record of previous interruptions to determine a periodicity of the previous interruptions or receiving information from the transmitting component that an interruption is expected to occur.

  • Patent number: 11470650
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a random access channel (RACH) occasion (RO) configuration that includes information related to ordered preamble resources. The UE may generate a preamble resource index according to various parameters selected based on the RO configuration information that relates to the ordered preamble resources. The UE may generate an uplink RACH message that includes a preamble based at least in part on the preamble resource index and a payload associated with a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource unit (PRU) mapped to the preamble resource index. After decoding the uplink RACH message, the base station may send a response message including scrambled downlink control information (e.g., based on a scrambling identifier or payload information associated with the uplink RACH message). Numerous other aspects are provided.

  • Patent number: 11456794
Abstract: It is an object to provide a procedure for handling failure of a subset of serving beam pair links in wireless radio communication. A client device is configured to monitor, independently, a link quality of each serving downlink (DL) beam pair link (BPL) of the client device; detect at least one failed DL BPL based on the monitoring, where the at least one failed DL BPL is a subset of the monitored serving DL BPLs; choose an uplink, UL, BPL, where the chosen UL BPL corresponds to an available serving DL BPL of the monitored serving DL BPLs; and transmit a beam report within a predetermined time period from the detection through a non-contention-based channel using the chosen UL BPL, where the beam report indicates the at least one failed DL BPL. A client device, a network device, methods and a computer program are included.

  • Patent number: 11343784
Abstract: A 5G wireless communication system to transmit a beam ID or part of a beam ID by joint design of a secondary synchronization sequence (SSS) and Physical Broadcast Channel (PBCH). In 5G during the initial access procedure a terminal will try to obtain fundamental system information/identifiers which are required for future signal transmission/reception activities. Due to the extensive usage of beamforming techniques in 5G, besides identifying a cell ID and obtaining time/frequency synchronization, the terminal may identify a beam ID during the initial access procedure. Therefore, a beam ID is transmitted as part of synchronization signals (SS) broadcast by a gNB, more particularly as part of SSS or as part of PBCH. The synchronization signals may be transmitted as a set of SS blocks, each having an index, which may be a time index, for facilitating identification.
