  • Patent number: 11356494
Abstract: A technique implements an administrative user interface of a backend service used to manage and administer on-premises resources, such as storage nodes of a cluster, within a private customer network. The backend service includes a browser configured to issue cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) requests among target storage nodes and a publicly-hosted web application on remote computing systems accessed via a public computer network (i.e., internet) that can be loaded on the browser within the customer network to manage and administer the on-prem resources on the private network. The technique involves the use of CORS over HyperText Transfer Protocol to access an origin that is not reachable via the public internet from a predetermined location of the browser, e.g., within the same customer network as the target storage nodes, particularly to facilitate management of the nodes.

  • Patent number: 10243786
Abstract: Methods and systems for configuring computing devices using mobile workspace contexts based on proximity to locations are described herein. A mobile computing device determines that the device is proximate to a location, another device, or an individual associated with an enterprise system. The mobile computing device may then receive a mobile workspace context associated with the location, device, or individual, such as one or more specific wireless networks, enterprise applications, and/or documents, and may configure the device based on the received mobile workspace context. Additional methods and systems are described herein for transmitting and receiving sets of device capabilities between multiple devices, establishing communication sessions, and sharing various capabilities between devices. Still additional methods and systems are described for determining and accessing the capabilities of enterprise system resources using mobile computing devices in an enterprise system.

  • Patent number: 10129118
Abstract: Real time detection of anomalies may be implemented for a data stream. A data stream may receive data records as input. An evaluation of the data records may be performed as the data records are received utilizing an anomaly detection model that is dynamically generated for a time period that includes the data records. A responsive action may be performed in response to detecting various anomalies, such as providing a notification of the anomaly, requesting a corrective action, invoking further analysis of the detected anomaly. Evaluations of the data record and responsive actions may be performed as specified by a user, in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 10129114
Abstract: Techniques for exposing network health over network connections in service provider network are disclosed. Monitors such as connection tracking modules may be configured to process network information (e.g., TCP connection state information) relating to network traffic and to transmit the network information to a health manager for analysis. As an example, a customer may request network information relating to a virtual instance provided by a service provider. In response to the request, TCP connection state information relating to the virtual instance may be extracted and processed to determine a network health condition. Information relating to the determined network health condition may be provided to the requesting customer.

  • Patent number: 10122570
Abstract: Techniques for user profile-based system level management (SLM) and creation of system level agreements of a wireless device are generally disclosed. In some examples, a predictor may be provided to predict a future task to be performed by a wireless device, including resource requirements, based at least in part on a profile of a user and at least one of a profile of a communication partner the user, an operational recommendation, a performance model or a current state. An optimizer/analyzer may be provided to generate a plurality of instructions to configure the wireless device, based at least in part on the predicted future task and resource requirement, and a quality of service requirement of the wireless device, in anticipation of having to perform the predicted task. In various examples, the predictor and the optimizer/analyzer may form a local or a remotely disposed system level manager.

  • Patent number: 10116530
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for detecting sensor deployment characteristics in a network. In some embodiments, a system can run a capturing agent deployed on a virtualization environment of the system. The capturing agent can query the virtualization environment for one or more environment parameters, and receive a response from the virtualized environment including the one or more environment parameters. Based on the one or more environment parameters, the capturing agent can determine whether the virtualization environment where the capturing agent is deployed is a hypervisor or a virtual machine. The capturing agent can also determine what type of software switch is running in the virtualized environment.

  • Patent number: 10095549
Abstract: Technology is described for providing an ownership transfer service in virtual computing service environment. Computing resources under the control of one or multiple customers are stored in an ownership transfer account. Workflows based on a pre-defined set of triggers for releasing the computing resources from the ownership transfer account are established. Exclusive control over the computing resources may be transferred from the single or multiple customers to at least one of the multiple customers or to a receiving customer according to a triggering event. The exclusive control over the computing resources from one or at least one of the multiple customers is terminated upon occurrence of one of the pre-defined set of triggers or temporary control is granted based on rules such as time periods.

  • Patent number: 10073713
Abstract: A source virtual machine (VM) hosted on a source server is migrated to a destination VM on a destination server without first powering down the source VM. After optional pre-copying of the source VM's memory to the destination VM, the source VM is suspended and its non-memory state is transferred to the destination VM; the destination VM is then resumed from the transferred state. In one embodiment, the source VM memory is either paged into the destination VM on demand, or is transferred asynchronously by pre-copying and write-protecting the source VM memory, and then later transferring only the modified pages after the destination VM is resumed. In one embodiment, the source and destination servers share common storage, in which the source VM's virtual disk is stored; this avoids the need to transfer the virtual disk contents.

  • Patent number: 10069899
Abstract: A method is provided for sharing a file. A first mobile device can generate a link and the link can enable a second mobile device to send a request to a permission server to access a file from a remote server. The permission server can determine a unique identifier of the second mobile device is associated with sufficient file sharing privileges to receive the file from the remote server. Additionally, the permission server can enable the second mobile device to download the file from the remote server, upon determining that the unique identifier is associated with sufficient file sharing privileges. Once the second mobile device with sufficient file sharing privileges downloads the file from the remote server, the first mobile device can receive a confirmation.

Context information is derived from the signal at the computer system from, a speech to text analysis of the audible source, a policy implemented in the computer system by a controlling enterprise, and inferences calculated by a combination of text analysis, and secondary information contained in the signal. An action is determined to take place at an external device or user device based on the context information, wherein the external device is one of a plurality of external devices and is networked to the second communication device or a plurality of devices. A second signal is sent to the external device to instruct the device to take the action.

  • Patent number: 10015244
Abstract: An author using an author device may connect to a publishing network, which in turn may be connected to a number of service provider networks that provide services relating to publishing workflow (e.g., editing, typography, historical research, cover designing) and business (e.g., marketing, promotion, author events). The publishing network may provide a network portal for the author and network portals for various service providers, with graphical user interfaces for both the author and the service providers. The author can then select specific service providers based on ratings, posted service rates, special requirements such as time scheduling and genre specialization, and can hire those service providers to work with the author's on or with the author's manuscript through the publishing network. The publishing network may then generate an agreement and track its signing as well as other milestones in the working relationship.
