  • Patent number: 10228562
Abstract: Systems and methods include receiving an image for presenting on a display screen of a head mounted display (HMD). The image is provided by an application. The received image is pre-distorted to enable optics provided in a HMD to render the image. An alignment offset is identified for an eye of a user wearing the HMD by determining a position of the eye relative to an optical axis of at least one lens of the optics of the HMD. The pre-distorted image provided by the application is adjusted to define a corrected pre-distorted image that accounts for the alignment offset. The corrected pre-distorted image is forwarded to the display screen of the HMD for rendering, such that the image presented through the optics of the HMD removes aberrations caused by the alignment offset.

  • Patent number: 10106101
Abstract: A housing, an actuating element, and a spring element are included in an operating device for a motor vehicle. The housing fastens the operating device. The actuating element is mounted for translatory deflection from a resting position with respect to the housing by the application of an actuating force. The spring element is resiliently mounted and a restoring force is applied to the actuating element in the direction of the resting position in the event of the translatory deflection. The spring element can be a plate or a strip and is supported by at least two supporting elements so as to be immovable with respect to the housing at respective support points. An intermediate region is defined between the support points and the actuating element lies against the spring element at two opposite ends of the spring element outside of the intermediate region.

  • Patent number: 10095345
Abstract: A low power can for device wake up and unlock is disclosed. The low power scan can include one or more algorithms used to detect a sequence and/or one or more gestures to wake up a processor and unlock the device for user interaction. A sequence and/or one or more gestures can be determined by a microcontroller and/or by a separate hardware component. The microcontroller can send a notification or a wake signal to the processor and/or switch the device from an idle to an active state. By detecting a sequence and one or more gestures in the microcontroller before powering on or waking up the processor, the amount of power consumed can be reduced and the battery life extended.
