    Abstract: A power scroll saw with a housing and a saw blade capable of being driven in a reciprocating manner, and with tongs-like guides that guide the saw blade in a laterally-supported manner is capable of being used in a variety of work applications due to the fact that the guide means are capable of being switched by hand selectively into a position having lateral clearance from the saw blade and into a position in which they laterally support the saw blade.
