Abstract: Systems and methods for using QR codes to track, monitor, and consolidate transactions are disclosed. In one embodiment, a system may receive a request from a first device to generate a first QR code associated with a first account. The system may generate the first QR code and send the first QR code to the first device. The system may receive a request from the first device to share a QR code with a second device. The system may update associated data to indicate a sharing of a QR code with the second device. The system may generate a second QR code associated with a second account of the second device and linked to the first account, so that use of the second QR code can be tracked and monitored. The system may send the second QR code to the second device.

  • Patent number: 11557905
Abstract: The present invention discloses a safety devices adapted to prevent workers from going into hazardous environment, such as underground using the faulty safety device. As a safety device, typically embodied as a cap lamp, must be charged prior to each use, the device is adapted to detect when the device is removed from the charger. The device starts to blink continuously when disconnected from the charger. An automated test procedure is completed on the device. The user may also complete a manual portion of the test procedure to make the device usable. When the test procedure is completed successfully, the lamp stops blinking. If the test procedure is not successful, the lamp continues blinking to effectively prevent user from using a faulty device.

  • Patent number: 11551180
Abstract: A system and method for ensuring safe delivery of items to an event, such as a conference or trade show. The system uses a controlled-access website or app and a program with a database operated by a security coordinator. All prospective attendees are vetted, and after being verified as bona fide attendees who qualify as a reliable exhibitor/shipper, are given access to the database for the purpose of obtaining (by download) a particularized set of coded labels to be applied to a particular item to be shipped. The coded labels are then printed, applied to the items to be shipped and sent to a staging location for screening. At the staging location, the security coordinator scans all coded labels of shipped items when they arrive, and the program compares the scanned data with the data in the database to see if the shipped items are associated with a reliable exhibitor/shipper.

Abstract: A method and system for reading a marker embedded in a fiber optic connector, and a connector configured to be read by the method and system. The connector includes an outer assembly and a marker that is overlaid by the outer assembly. To read the marker, the connector is illuminated with an illuminating light in a first spectral band, and an image is formed using the light within the first spectral band that is reflected from the fiber optic connector. The reflected light includes at least a portion of the illuminating light which was transmitted through the outer assembly and reflected back toward a reader by the marker. Data contained in the marker is then extracted from the image.

  • Patent number: 11515001
Abstract: Computer-implemented methods and systems for automatically generating a genealogical graph for an initial member and a target member are provided. An example system includes a memory and a processor that can operate to: receive an initial member identifier identifying the initial member and a target member identifier identifying the target member; retrieve, from the memory, a set of genealogical data for the initial member and a set of genealogical data for the target member; and determine whether a genealogical connection exists between the initial member and the target member. In response to determining the genealogical connection exists between the initial member and the target member, the processor can generate the genealogical graph to illustrate the determined genealogical connection and a subset of genealogical data from the set of genealogical data for the target member.

  • Patent number: 11514255
Abstract: RFID readers may be configured to supply power to tags during frequency hops. When a reader is supplying power to a passive RFID tag via a first RF waveform having a first radio frequency and determines that it is to frequency-hop, the reader may determine whether the tag requires power during the hop. If so, the reader begins (or continues) to synthesize a second RF waveform with a second radio frequency while also synthesizing the first RF waveform, and frequency-hops by transitioning from transmitting the first RF waveform to transmitting the second RF waveform such that the power transmitted during the transition is sufficient for the tag to operate.

  • Patent number: 11449699
Abstract: An information code reading system including an information code display device and an information code reading device. The information code display device generates, corresponding to an information code to be displayed, multiple partial code images to be different from one another. A code area of the information code to be displayed includes multiple cells and each cell is included in at least one of the multiple partial code images. Each partial code image is generated by removing a part of the cells from the code area to be different from one another. The multiple partial code images are displayed on a display screen in a cyclic manner. The information code reading device captures, as an information code, an image of the display screen with an exposure time set to be longer than a cycle of cyclic display of the multiple partial code images, and decodes the captured information code.
