Abstract: A cutting apparatus includes a cutting unit cutting a workpiece held on a chuck table, a processing-feed unit moving the chuck table, a moving unit moving the cutting unit, and a delivery pad delivering the workpiece to be cut to the chuck table and delivering the workpiece that has been cut on the chuck table. The delivery pad is mountable on and detachable from the moving unit, holds the workpiece under suction while being mounted on the moving unit, and delivers the workpiece by being moved by the moving unit while holding the workpiece under suction.
Abstract: A food log slicing apparatus includes a base, a frame mounted on the base, a loaf tray, a drive assembly, a shear bar and a slicing station mounted on the frame. The loaf tray and the shear bar are divided into a plurality of side-by-side lanes, each of which are configured to receive multiple food logs stacked in a column. Each lane has a base wall on which a lowest one of the food logs rests which is angled relative to horizontal ground. The drive assembly moves the food logs from the loaf tray to the shear bar and into the slicing station. The slicing station has a driven blade which is parallel to a planar downstream face of the shear bar, and cuts all of the food logs as the blade passes through the food logs.
Abstract: An assembly for cutting a polystyrene block includes a lever element, adapted to be coupled to a hot cutting element, and a control device connected thereto. The lever is arranged so that a potential inclination of the hot cutting element can be followed during the feed motion of the cut, the lever further cooperating with a sensor set to detect a potential inclination deviation of the lever during the cut, in relation to an initial reference inclination, the control device being set to vary feed motion speed depending on the detected variation of inclination.
Abstract: A sawmill assembly comprising a bed, a carriage and a tilting device. The bed has a pair of substantially parallel rails that define a first plane, a first axis perpendicular to the first plane, and a second plane perpendicular to both the first plane and a longitudinal axis of the rails. The carriage is movably supported along the rails. The tilting device allows a user to adjust a tilt angle of the carriage in the second plane, relative to the first axis. Also disclosed are methods of adjusting a blade angle of the sawmill assembly, and methods of cutting a tapered piece from a workpiece material.
Abstract: Provided is a razor assembly including a cartridge including at least one blade and a handle assembly including an electric power source, a printed circuit board (PCB) electrically coupled to the electric power source, and at least one induction coil coupled to the PCB, wherein the at least one induction coil is configured to cause at least a portion of the cartridge to be heated in a non-contact manner, wherein the cartridge is detachably coupled to the handle assembly.
Abstract: A low-friction hub assembly for pivotally connecting a pair of scissors or lever-like members employs a pair of cooperative hub members. A first hub member has an exterior threaded surface which threadably engages with an interior threaded surface of the second hub member. Each of the hub members has annular shoulders which engage against opposed annular surfaces of surrounding aligned pivot openings of the scissors. A locking member comprising a pair of opposed pawls engages a serrated surface to lock the subassembly. A throughbore extends through the pivot assembly.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining material dimensions of a longitudinal profiled section (2) during a sawing process, in which a saw blade (3) is advanced, the longitudinal profiled section (2) being machined by said saw blade (3) along a saw groove during this time; advancement position data of said saw blade (3) along the advancement path (s) being determined and, during this sawing operation, additional measurement data being determined from the group of sawing force (Fs) or another variable which corresponds to the sawing force (Fs). The invention is characterised in that an actual profile is determined from the advancement position data and said additional measurement data.
