  • Patent number: 5456054
Abstract: The covering section bar has a generally U-shaped inner housing defined by two side branches and a cross-bar, the first side branch having a fastening or snap-fastening shoulder and being elastically deformable at a first level of deformation, being of a thickness that is less than the mean thickness of the section bar, at least in the zone thereof where elastic deformation is required; the inner housing includes a first bearing zone corresponding to the fastening shoulder or situated close to the snap-fastening shoulder, a second bearing zone situated on the same side of the inner housing, and a third bearing zone situated on the second side branch and located in between the two first-mentioned bearing zones. The section bar covers either a panel or a panel-fastening section bar, after one or other of them has been inserted in its inner housing. The combination of the covering section bar and of the fastening section bar constitutes a panel frame element.

  • Patent number: 5444954
Abstract: A door and floor molding which includes a stationary piece and removable piece. When used as a door molding, the stationary piece is attached abutting a doorway or window and when used as a floor molding is attached a distance above the floor. The distance above the floor is dependent upon the width of the mid section of the removable piece. A lip of the removable piece extends above the mid section and is slideably engaged within a clamping pocket of the stationary piece. A stabilizing wall of the removable piece lies substantially perpendicular to the lip and extends on both sides of a plane of the lip. The stabilizing wall engages the wall in a manner so as to press the mid section against the stationary piece and provide a more secure fit. The removable piece may be removed from its position within the stationary piece to aid in painting around or running wires through the molding.

  • Patent number: 5435108
Abstract: An overhead garage door panel has a thin outer metal skin. Along the upper and lower edges of the outer metal skin are top and bottom flanges. The top flange has a rib formed therein which is adapted to mate with a groove formed in the bottom flange of an adjacent corresponding panel. A foam insertion core fills the pan and flanges of the outer skin thereby providing the requisite strength and rigidity in combination with the flanges. The foam core is formed in-situ and a back skin extending between the flanges retains the foam within the panel during the foaming process. Adjacent panels are hinged together and a reinforcing member is glued within each flange to provide a secure mounting attachment for the hinges.

  • Patent number: 5428932
Abstract: A wall panel, especially double-wall panel, for building a large shuttering wall, from a plurality of wall panels whose lateral abutment edges flushly abut each other, the wall panel comprising a main plate having rectilinear first and second lateral abutment edges parallel to each other on a first large face of the main plate. On the other large face of the main plate a platelike suspension tooth obliquely and descendingly projecting from the first abutment edge is arranged behind the first abutment edge, while a suspension recess adapted to the suspension tooth is arranged behind the second abutment edge. Thereby, the wall panels can be slidingly suspended into each other, until the abutment edges of the two wall panels adjoining each other come into contact with one another.
