  • Patent number: 10072827
Abstract: A lighting fixture can be configured to display reduced visibility of seams and hardware when illuminated. At the junction site between lighting modules of a modular lighting assembly, support hardware can be positioned within corresponding recesses in the respective coupling ends of the connected lighting modules. An outer element can also be wrapped around the respective outer edges of the coupling ends and partially into the junction site adjacent to the support hardware. Connective seams between the wrapped outer edges and support hardware at the junction between lighting modules can thus be de-emphasized when adjacent lighting elements are activated. Multiple, different shaped modules can be combined to create light fixtures of different shapes.

  • Patent number: 10024523
Abstract: A lighting module for a recessed light fixture has a housing and a light module body movably coupled to the housing by a linkage. In an intermediate tilted position, an optical axis of the light module body is aligned at a first angle relative to a Y axis, and in a fully-tilted limit position, the optical axis is aligned at a second angle relative to the Y axis. Movement of the light module body relative to the housing includes rotation about a Z axis and translation parallel to X and Y axes. During movement of the light module body relative to the housing a first lateral section of a peripheral edge defining an opening of the light module body remains substantially parallel to the Z axis and maintains a substantially constant perpendicular distance from the X axis.

  • Patent number: 10018316
Abstract: The invention provides a headlight device capable of generating two distinct, though possibly overlapping, beam portions, by means of a single integrated unit. The unit comprises two primary optical components for generating the two respective beam portions, and a single exit lens through which the combined beam is transmitted. A low beam having a stepped cut-off—to avoid glare to oncoming road users—may be generated by means of the provided device, with the cut off generated by means of a specially shaped collimating element, and the remaining spread of the beam generated by means of a downwardly reflecting reflector. Dual high and low beam functionality can alternatively be achieved, wherein the collimating element generates a high beam, and the reflector structure generates a low beam. By shaping and positioning the collimating element appropriately, a stepped cut off in the low beam may be still be provided in these embodiments.
