Abstract: A method and device for estimating central aortic pulse pressure by cuff pressure pulse wave oscillation signals. The method comprises (I) providing an equation for estimating central aortic pulse pressure; (II) measuring pressure pulse wave oscillation signals in a cuff, which comprise a brachial systolic blood pressure, a diastolic blood pressure and a waveform of the pressure pulse wave oscillation signals in the cuff; (III) averaging the waveform of the pressure pulse wave oscillation signals and calibrating the averaged waveform; (IV) analyzing the calibrated pressure pulse wave oscillation signal waveform to obtain a plurality of predicting variables; and (V) obtaining an estimate of the central aortic pulse pressure by values of predicting variables in step (IV) and the equation in step (I).

  • Patent number: 9402681
Abstract: A magnetic moxibustion device includes a moxibustion canister in which a moxa column (5) is hangs through a moxa column mounting base. The moxa column mounting base is mounted on the moxibustion canister in a detachable manner through a magnetic attraction structure. A magnet guiding needle (3) is further disposed in the moxa column mounting base, which passed through the moxa column (5). The magnetic field of the magnetic attraction structure is guided out of the moxibustion canister through the needle (3) and applied to the human body moxibustion application position, so as to perform the moxibustion therapy and the magnet therapy at the same time. A side wall of the moxibustion canister is provided with several air inlets (7) and air outlets (11), so the combustion speed of the moxa column (5) can be adjusted through the size of the air outlets, thereby adjusting the temperature and time of the moxibustion.

  • Patent number: 9265678
Abstract: A patient enclosure, comprised of at least two spaced-apart side walls, a top wall, and a front wall, the side walls, the top wall, and the front wall defining a predetermined area surrounding a location where a patient is positionable. At least one of the walls has a panel of electrochromic glass that is switchable between a clear state, an opaque state and a reflective (mirrored) state. UV radiators are provided within the area of the enclosure. An air circulation system is provided for circulating air through the area defined by the enclosure. A controller controls the UV radiators and the air circulation system. The controller is programmed to create one of a higher pressure or a lower pressure within the area as compared to the environment surrounding the enclosure.
