  • Patent number: 11971858
Abstract: Targetless snapshots of a storage object are characterized in terms of likelihood of access using time-series analysis. Metadata of replication data structures of individual targetless snapshots is maintained in either uncompressed or compressed form based on the characterization of the targetless snapshot. Metadata is compressed at the page level, with same-pages of all replication data structures of cold snapshots of a storage object being compressed together. Compressed pages of targetless snapshot metadata are maintained of storage devices selected based on storage device performance and the time-series characterization of the targetless snapshot.

  • Patent number: 11960497
Abstract: A method and system for automatically generating a data determining result includes an acquisition end sending a data acquisition module to a plurality of user terminals, and sending the first data fed back by the user terminals on the data acquisition module to an analysis end. The analysis end generates a display manner of the data determination result on the basis of a configuration condition. The display manner includes analysis items, a first operation logic for determining analysis values of the analysis items and/or a second operation logic for determining cross analysis values of different analysis items. The analysis end determines the analysis value of the analysis items and/or the cross analysis value of the different analysis items in the display manner from the first data, and generates a data determination result.

  • Patent number: 11928130
Abstract: Various embodiments for a data management system for managing inferences are described herein. An embodiment operates by detecting a signal to perform a replication task. Parameters corresponding to the replication task are identified. The replication task is configured to at least partially replicate a source data table from a source repository to a target data table in a target repository, based on the parameters. It is determined that a columnar structure of a first column of the source data table including data to be replicated matches a columnar structure of a second column of the target data table where the data is to be replicated to. The replication task is executed responsive to the determination of the matching structures, the replication task including performing one or more arithmetic operations on the data.

  • Patent number: 11921734
Abstract: A system includes several edge computing devices. Each edge computing device includes a a sensor, a memory, a central processing unit (CPU), and a digital communication interface, for communication across a network. Each edge computing device has a respective interpreting software function, arranged to execute on the CPU and to interpret computer code, received via the digital communication interface and stored in the memory, according to a query language having a predetermined syntax. The syntax defines queries the results of which are streams of data. A first software function poses a first query to a second edge computing device. A second software function generates and communicates, in response thereto, a second stream of data. The first software function preprocesses the second stream so that it adheres to a predefined global data ontology, and performs a first calculation using the second stream.

  • Patent number: 11899721
Abstract: Methods and systems are presented for detecting groups within a graph using computer-based multi-threading techniques. These techniques provide technical improvements in computing power and efficiency for analysis of large graphs. A group detection system accesses a graph. Threads are instantiated to perform task related to a group detection process based on the nodes in the graph, where a thread is instantiated for a corresponding node. Each thread determines a neighbor count representing a number of neighbor nodes having one degree of separation from the corresponding node. Each thread also generates a list comprising an identity of the corresponding node and identities of the neighbor nodes. The thread transmits the list only to threads corresponding to a first subset of the neighbor nodes having more neighbors than the corresponding node, but not to threads corresponding to a second subset of the neighbor nodes having less neighbors than the corresponding nodes.

  • Patent number: 11892975
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for asynchronously generating consistent snapshots in a distributed system. In one embodiment, a snapshotting agent receives a respective local snapshot for individual processes in a distributed system. The respective local snapshot for a corresponding process includes a corresponding vector clock that comprises respective values indicating respective state changes in the corresponding process and other processes. The snapshotting agent determines whether a collection of the respective local snapshots for the individual processes represents a global consistent snapshot for the distributed system based at least in part on a comparison of the respective values of the corresponding vector clocks.

  • Patent number: 11886419
Abstract: A process of fulfilling a database deployment request for a data platform. A compute service manager of the data platform scans one or more accounts of a consumer region of the data platform for a pending listing fulfillment request, where the pending listing request includes a request for deployment of a consumer database and an associated share of grant metadata of the consumer database within the consumer region. When the compute service manager determines that an account of the one or more accounts has a pending listing fulfillment request, the compute service manager determines a listing for the pending listing fulfillment request based on listing data of the account. The compute service manager determines that no other fulfillment task is scheduled for the pending listing fulfillment request and schedules a background fulfillment task to perform the fulfillment process for the pending listing fulfillment request.

  • Patent number: 11874836
Abstract: The present disclosure involves systems, software, and computer implemented methods for configuring graph query parallelism for high system throughput. One example method includes receiving a query to be executed against a graph database. System properties are determined of a system in which the query is to be executed. Algorithmic properties are determined of at least one algorithm to be used to execute the query. Graph data statistics are determined for the graph database. Graph traversal estimations are determined for a first iteration of the graph query and an estimated cost model is determined for the first iteration based on the graph traversal estimations. Estimated thread boundaries are determined for performing parallel execution of the first iteration. Work packages of vertices to be processed during the execution of the first iteration are determined based on the first estimated cost model and the work packages are provided to a work package scheduler.

  • Patent number: 11874800
Abstract: A hardware-implemented file reader includes an interface, multiple hardware-implemented column readers and a hardware-implemented record reconstructor. The interface is configured to access a file including multiple records. The records store values in accordance with a nested structure that supports optional values and repeated values. The file is stored in a columnar format having multiple columns, each column storing (i) compressed values and (ii) corresponding compressed structure information that associates the values in the column to the nested structure of the records. Each column reader is configured to be assigned to a respective selected column, and to read and decompress both the values and the structure information from at least a portion of the selected column. The record reconstructor is configured to reconstruct one or more of the records from at least portions of the columns that are read by the column readers, and to output the reconstructed records.

  • Patent number: 11868261
Abstract: Techniques are described herein for prediction of an buffer pool size (BPS). Before performing BPS prediction, gathered data are used to determine whether a target workload is in a steady state. Historical utilization data gathered while the workload is in a steady state are used to predict object-specific BPS components for database objects, accessed by the target workload, that are identified for BPS analysis based on shares of the total disk I/O requests, for the workload, that are attributed to the respective objects. Preference of analysis is given to objects that are associated with larger shares of disk I/O activity. An object-specific BPS component is determined based on a coverage function that returns a percentage of the database object size (on disk) that should be available in the buffer pool for that database object. The percentage is determined using either a heuristic-based or a machine learning-based approach.
