  • Patent number: 11655811
Abstract: A double diaphragm pump includes multiple diaphragms that are mounted for reciprocation. The diaphragms are connected for simultaneous movement to form a diaphragm assembly. A first one of the diaphragms is clamped between a housing cover and a center section. A pumping chamber is formed between the first diaphragm and the cover. Pressure in the first pumping chamber is decreased to draw the diaphragm assembly towards the first fluid cover, thereby drawing the second diaphragm into a mounting position relative to the center section. A second cover is then mounted to the center section to clamp the second diaphragm between the second cover and the center section.

  • Patent number: 11633796
Abstract: A plate heat exchanger has two metal plates brought into abutment, with a solder material between the plates. The plates are heated up to a first temperature. The plates are placed into a mold, the mold surfaces of which have cavities for envisaged channel structures. Channel structures are formed by local internal pressure forming of at least one plate under pressurization by the tool. The plates are heated up to a second temperature. The plates are solder bonded at the abuted surfaces. A plate heat exchanger has two metal plates, wherein channel structures have been formed in at least one plate and the plates are bonded to one another by soldering away from the channel structures. Eutectic microstructures having a longest extent of less than 50 micrometers are formed in the solder layer.

  • Patent number: 11635105
Abstract: An optimized thread profile (140) for joining composite materials is presented. This thread profile (140) maintains a certain material strength when used as part of a composite threaded joint (101). The thread profile (140) comprises a repeating pattern of four components: a crest region (150), a first flank (162), a root region (170) and a second flank (164). The thread profile (140) is symmetrical, that is, the dimensions of the four components do not change throughout the length of the thread profile. The crest (152) has a flat profile and the root (172) has a rounded profile. When a shaft (120) is affixed to a joining shaft (110) using this optimized thread profile (140), the flat profiles of the crest (152) of the shaft (120) and corresponding rounded profiles of the root (172) of the joining shaft (110) create a gap to accommodate a substance such as an adhesive or a lubricant.

  • Patent number: 11618180
Abstract: A system for manufacturing roof trusses is assembled one joint at a time on an assembly line, which includes a receiving table, an assembly station and an output table. The assembly station includes one or more presses, robot grippers, and arrangements connected to the presses for feeding nail plates and loading them to the presses. Each joint being accomplished so that the members to be joined in addition to the members already present there have been moved and positioned on the receiving table and onwards to the assembly station. Robot grippers hold the members to be joined and align them in place against each other. A press loaded with the nail plates designated to this joint is aligned with the steering in the position of the joint and presses the nail plates in place to complete the joint. The structure is guided to move to the output table.

  • Patent number: 11603949
Abstract: A pipe processing tool that is configured to deform the end of a pipe so that the circumferential shape of the end of the pipe generally matches the circumferential shape of an adjacent pipe end. Matching the circumferential shapes of the pipe ends is advantageous during a pipe attachment process. The pipe processing tool can include a deformation ring with a plurality of pipe deformation members. Each pipe deformation member faces radially inward and is actuatable in a radial direction toward and away from the center of the deformation ring in order to permit engagement with the pipe. Each pipe deformation member is individually and separately actuatable from the other pipe deformation members so that the circumferential shapes of the pipes can be altered by controlling suitable ones of the pipe deformation members.
