Abstract: A silver halide photographic light-sensitive material comprises a support having thereon photographic component layers including a silver halide emulsion layer, wherein at least one of said photographic component layers contains a compound represented by the following formula:A--(Time)n--FL--BLwherein A represents a group capable of releasing a group of --(Time)n--FL--BL upon reaction with an oxidation product of a developing agent; Time represents a timing group; FL represents a group which comes to emit fluorescence when a --BL is split off; BL represents a group capable of being split off; and n represents an integer of 0 or 1.
Abstract: Pyrazolotriazole couplers having a ballast-containing group of the formula (I) attached to the pyrazolotriazole ring group ##STR1## wherein: R, R.sup.2, R.sup.a and R.sup.b represent hydrogen or a substituent;L is a divalent linking group connecting the ballast containing group to the pyrazolotriazole ring;L' is a linking group connecting the --BD group to the phenylene ring;n is 0 or 1;B represents --N(R.sup.c)--SO.sub.2 --, wherein R.sup.c represents hydrogen or a substituent; andD represents substituted or unsubstituted alkyl are useful in silver halide photographic materials and processes. The couplers exhibit increased coupling efficiency, and provide formation of dyes having improved maximum magenta image dye density when employed in color photographic materials and processes.

Abstract: A method for recording and erasing information by irradiating a specific recording medium with a single laser beam, which is applied with two different intensities respectively for crystallizing a recording layer of the recording medium and for amorphizing a recording layer of the recording medium. According to the present invention, both the recording of information and the erasing of information can be simply performed using a single laser beam by changing only its intensity between the two different laser beam intensities according to a laser beam intensity pattern corresponding to predetermined information.The recording material comprises Sb, Te, Ge and at least one element selected from the group consisting of Pb, Bi, In, Sn and Tl.

Abstract: A color negative photographic recording material is described in which low emulsion coverage tabular grain silver halide emulsion imaging units are employed. The silver halide emulsion in at least one of the units comprises grains having a tabularity of between about 50 and 25,000. The imaging unit thickness is less than about 4.0 .mu.m, using a total of no more than 2.0 parts by weight of silver per part of coupler. The imaging unit yields a density of at least 2.0 when exposed and processed.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a silver halide color reversal photographic material comprising photosensitive silver halide photographic layers in which the average silver chloride content of the photosensitive silver halide emulsions is less than 7.0 mol %, at least one emulsion layer of the photographic layers consists of two or more emulsions having different average grain diameters, and the emulsion layer and/or the adjacent intermediate layer contains at least one compound that can release a photographically useful agent by redox reaction with the oxidation product of a developing agent. The silver halide color reversal photographic material of the present invention has a color-reversed image improved in graininess and sensitivity.
Abstract: A silver halide color photographic photosensitive material comprising a yellow image forming photographic coupler, which is capable of forming images having excellent color reproduction and image fastness, and which has a high reactivity with an oxidized form of a developing agent. The aforementioned object has been realized by means of a silver halide color photographic photosensitive material containing a coupler represented by general formula (I): ##STR1## wherein X represents an organic residual group which is required, together with the nitrogen atom, to form a nitrogen containing heterocyclic ring, Y represents an aromatic group or a heterocyclic group, and Z represents a group which is eliminated when the coupler represented by said general formula reacts with the oxidized form of a developing agent.
