The configured application is executed.

Abstract: A method comprises receiving a list of names of compute resources of an enterprise network, the names of compute resources including at least one name of a virtual machine and at least one name of a host, for each of the list of names: assessing a particular name of the list of names for removable data and removing the removable data to generate a feature for that particular name, for each feature, determining distances based on at least one metric for every other feature, grouping features based on distances, each feature being in only one group, recommending groups of compute resources based on groups of features, each feature of a group of features being associated with a different compute resource, the group of compute resources corresponding to a particular group of features, and providing a report of recommended groups.

The tier has been designated as being automatically managed by the database system. The tier has a plurality of levels of priority for resource allocation (LPRAs). The database system decomposes the query into a first step and a set of subsequent steps. The first step has a beginning and each of the set of subsequent steps has a respective beginning. The database system assigns the first step to a first LPRA, wherein executing the query at the first LPRA is projected by the database system to satisfy a service level goal (SLG) within a on_schedule_range of the SLG.

Abstract: In a method of distributing augmented reality workloads, a task module receives an augmented reality task. The task module identifies at least one workload and at least one workload parameter, wherein the workload comprises sensor data from one or more sensors. The task module determines whether a local processor is available and meets the workload parameters associated with the augmented reality task. If task module determines that the local processor does not meet at least one workload parameter, task module determines whether one or more remote processors meet the at least one workload parameter. The task module sends one or more workloads to any capable remote processors.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for enabling interoperability between asymmetric and symmetric Integrated Routing and Bridging (IRB) modes. A system is configured to receive a route advertisement, examine the label fields of the route advertisement, and determine whether Layer 2 or Layer 3 information is conveyed. The system is further configured to build a route advertisement to advertise to a second device based on whether Layer 2 or Layer 3 information is conveyed in the first route advertisement.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a specialized in-memory database abstraction component is introduced in a cloud cluster. The in-memory database abstraction component may receive lifecycle commands from a client-facing application and interface with a container service to create an in-memory database resource. When parameters are received by the in-memory database abstraction component from the client-facing application, the in-memory database abstraction component may act to validate the parameters, determine if a service plan is available, and determine whether the parameters meet the service plan requirements. If the service plan requirements are not met, the in-memory database abstraction component translates the parameters for the in-memory database resource.

Abstract: A method, a computing device, and a computer program product are provided. An interceptor hub application receives, via a network, a request for multiple services from a first service-consuming application. The request is in a format for an interceptor interface. The interceptor hub application converts at least some information in the received request to a format of a corresponding interface of at least one of the requested services. The interceptor hub application sends a respective request to each of the requested services. The each respective request includes a corresponding portion of the information in the format of the corresponding service-oriented interface. A respective service response from the each of the respective services is received by the interceptor hub application, which provides each of the respective responses in a combined service response to the first service-consuming application in a format expected by the first service-consuming application.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments provide techniques for promoting and providing subscribed content via a messaging platform. An article may be viewed via a social networking service (such as in a social network's news feed), or on a partner website integrated with the social networking service and/or messaging service. When opening the article (e.g., in a web-based view), a banner may be displayed in association with the article indicating that the article could have been received as part of a messaging-based subscription service. The banner may include a control to subscribe to the publisher with the messaging service. Topics related to an article may be suggested in the message thread for the subscription, with the selection of a topic retrieving additional articles from that publisher related to that topic. These additional articles may be selected using social networking topic determination.

Abstract: This document describes systems, methods and apparatus for locating an object and/or processed versions of that object in a CDN cache system. When a CDN server needs to send a forward request to an origin server to retrieve an object, the CDN server can append a ‘cache hint’ (sometimes referred to herein as a pointer or as ‘reverse cookie’) to its request. The cache hint preferably includes information that will be stored at the origin server and provided to other CDN servers that subsequently ask for the same object. Preferably the information is a pointer that will enable the object to be located within the CDN and/or enable the location of modified version of the object that have already been created and stored within the CDN.

Abstract: Technologies for dynamically generating topology and location based network insights are provided. In some examples, a method can include determining statistical changes in time series data including a series of data points associated with one or more conditions or parameters of a network; determining a period of time corresponding to one or more of the statistical changes in the time series data; obtaining telemetry data corresponding to a segment of the network and one or more time intervals, wherein a respective length of each time interval is based on a length of the period of time corresponding to the one or more of the statistical changes in the time series data; and generating, based on the telemetry data, insights about the segment of the network, the insights identifying a trend or statistical deviation in a behavior of the segment of the network during the one or more time intervals.

Abstract: Methods and systems for sharing data among multiple services are described herein. Multiple services may access data from a shared data source. The services may subscribe to data sharing events. A data sharing service may iterate through the shared data source and transmit data retrieved from the shared data source in data sharing events. When the data sharing service reaches the end of the shared data source, the data sharing service may begin iterating through the shared data source again from the beginning. The data sharing events may be transmitted at a predetermined frequency. The services may subscribe to or unsubscribe from the data sharing events.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes initiating a communication session with a second client system associated with a second user via a communication network, wherein the communication session is initiated in a first modality, receiving a ping to the first client system from the communication network to evaluate available bandwidth on the communication network, estimating, by the first client system, an amount of bandwidth available on the communication network for use by the first client system, determining, by the first client system, the amount of bandwidth available on the communication network for use by the first client system is insufficient for the first modality, and switching the communication session with the second client system to a second modality by the first client system, wherein the second modality uses less bandwidth than the first modality.

Abstract: Provided is an ID space conversion system enabling an application to access a correct data resource by using a system ID. An ID space conversion function unit generates a non-overlapping unique system ID for each type of components based on a physical ID of a component included in a device D which is determined to be a correct device by a device configuration verification function unit. A sharing function unit shares, with a gateway, a gateway file including a correspondence relationship between the physical ID and the system ID included in the device D. Accordingly, the gateway adds, to data, the system ID, on the basis of the gateway-setting file, and outputs system ID-added data to a network. A data processing unit determines whether component data of the device D includes the generated system ID. Accordingly, it is determined whether the data is output from the correct device.
