Patent number: 4620827Abstract: An apparatus is provided for supplying for a subsequent process step a desired number of flat sheets at one time from a pile of flat sheets such as pulp sheets or the like. The pile is put on a platform which is elevated step by step by a given amount corresponding to a desired number of sheets. A gap is first formed in the pile by inserting one wedge member which is provided so as to be reciprocatingly movable in the transverse direction with respect to the pile. By also inserting in the gap fork tines provided so as to be likewise reciprocatingly movable in the transverse direction with respect to the pile, the flat sheets on and over the fork tines are assuredly separated from the others. At the same time these upper sheets are sent to a feed mechanism by virtue of the engagement of stopping members which are movable integrally with the fork tines in association with the forward movement of the fork tines and the edge portions of the flat sheets.Type: GrantFiled: December 18, 1984Date of Patent: November 4, 1986Assignee: Honshu Seishi Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Tadanori Sameshima, Akito Kakigi

Patent number: 4619484Abstract: The improved assembly includes a truck having a generally horizontal trailer frame supported on rotatable wheels. The upper surface of the frame preferably includes a dished portion adapted to receive the assembly's open-topped, curved container bin, and also includes spaced rollers rotatably supporting the bin above the bottom surface of the dished portion. An upwardly directed tilt link is pivotally connected to at least one end of the frame adjacent one side thereof and to the upper end of the bin adjacent the opposite side thereof. A ram, preferably hydraulic, is pivotally connected to the side of the frame at a point remote from the tilt link and extends upwardly to pivotally connect to the upper part of the bin. If desired, a pair of tilt links can be used at opposite ends of the frame, with the ram spaced therebetween. During extension of the ram, the bin initially rotates on the rollers, without lateral displacement, enabling side loading from low slung bucket arms.Type: GrantFiled: September 17, 1984Date of Patent: October 28, 1986Inventor: John H. Patent number: 4619571Abstract: A method for the distribution of sheets, especially glued together sheets of paper, cardboard, corrugated cardboard and the like, from individual small sheet stacks. The method provides for alternating ones of small sheet stacks proceeding from a machine to be turned over one hundred and eighty degrees and returned to a conveyor belt. Thereafter, individual sheets of sequentially arriving small sheet stacks are delivered to a final loading station. The installation for performing the method comprises an endless conveyor belt having an endless loop formed in its top portion by three deflection rollers disposed between the front and rear guide rollers of the conveyor belt, one of the deflection rollers protruding upwardly through the feed plane of the conveyor belt. At the end of the conveyor belt a back-up rail is disposed thereabove to form an outlet slot therebetween, the width of which slot is controllable to provide stacking of individual sheets at the final station.Type: GrantFiled: April 8, 1982Date of Patent: October 28, 1986Assignee: O. Patent number: 4609322Abstract: Earthmoving vehicles are often provided with a linkage arrangement on one end that is utilized to manipulate a work implement, such as a loader bucket. The linkage typically includes a tilting arrangment for the bucket that incorporates a tilt lever that is mounted to a lift arm that supports the bucket. The mounting between the tilt lever and the lift arm is normally of a complex nature requiring multiple bearing surfaces and lubrication means. Others may have a structure that requires exact positioning between the relative components or a failure will occur due to improper loading. The linkage arrangement of the present invention provides a mounting member that is attached to only one of the tilt levers. It also includes an axial motion limiter that is attached to the other tilt lever. In doing so, a very simple and economical mounting device is provided. The mounting device also allows the tilt levers to rotate with respect to each other so that each of the levers function to bear a portion of the loading.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1984Date of Patent: September 2, 1986Assignee: Caterpillar Tractor Co.Inventor: Wilton E.
