  • Patent number: 7751387
Abstract: A modified NAT firewall traversal method for SIP communication is based on the common SIP network phone communication protocol, and is aided by Interactive NAT Traversal (INT) and pre-established media session ideas to accomplish the object of transversing NAT firewall. Users of private IP located within different NAT firewalls can therefore directly transmit voice packets by means of peer-to-peer transmission without the need of any proxy server of voice packets.

  • Patent number: 7630325
Abstract: A method includes retrieving a first data set from a switch within a network, the first data set including a set of switch records. Among the switch records included in the first data set is a first switch record associated with and including a field identifying a first trunk group from a set of trunk groups included within the switch. A second data set is retrieved from a configuration management system configured to facilitate an operation associated with the network. The second data set includes a plurality of configuration records, which includes a first configuration record associated with and including a field identifying the first trunk group. When the field included in the first configuration record differs from the field included in the first switch record a report is produced.

  • Patent number: 7606148
Abstract: In a packet forwarding apparatus having a plurality of interfaces for connection to external networks, at least one of the interfaces is designated as an extension interface, and an extension apparatus having an additional function is connected to the packet forwarding apparatus via the extension interface. An ingress packet having been received by another of the network interfaces and for which the additional function is to be used is forwarded to the extension apparatus and the ingress packet processed with the additional function is inputted again to the packet forwarding apparatus via the extension interface and sent out to a corresponding external network from a network interface corresponding to the destination address of the ingress packet.

  • Patent number: 7583684
Abstract: A system and method on for automatically switching from a first local area network (LAN) to a second LAN is provided. A transmission data application is requested and transmitted on the first LAN in accordance with a first service set identity (SSID). A second SSID is retrieved that is associated with a requested transmission data application for operation on the second LAN. The first SSID is automatically switched with the second SSID to automatically disassociate the networking device from the first LAN and associate the networking device with the second LAN, and to begin processing the transmission data application on the second LAN.
