Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for providing secure authentication in a virtual or augmented reality environment using an interactive icon. One method comprises: receiving, over a computer network, a request for payment authorization; identifying, based on the request for payment authorization, a virtual reality interface; generating an icon in the virtual reality interface, the icon having a randomized display of authentication characters; receiving user input associated with at least one character of the of payment authentication characters in the virtual reality interface; and generating a payment authorization response to the request for payment authorization based on the received user input.

Abstract: Computer-implemented design tool functions are described herein for recognizing organized collections of objects in a design layout, and providing controls to manipulate, in a selected organized collection, individual objects and arrangements of multiple objects. In an embodiment, a computing device determines whether an arrangement of selected objects in a design layout satisfies certain criteria, and if so, the computing device recognizes the arrangement as an organized collection, and provides controls within a selected organized collection to perform various operations to manipulate an individual object within the selected organized collection while automatically and dynamically modifying the organized collection to maintain desired uniformity in the collection.

Abstract: A method for plant efficiency evaluation includes a first step of displaying in a first graphical zone a set of operators and a set of operands in a second graphical zone. A formula editor user interface is provided in a third graphical zone which enables a drag and drop of an operator or an operand for creating a formula for a plant performance indicator (PPI) as a measure of plant efficiency. When an operand is dropped into the third graphical zone, automatically displaying for the dropped operand a predefined list of entities involved in a production process of the plant, the predefined list enabling a selection of an entity for said operand. Data are then automatically collected for selected entity for each operand that has been dragged and dropped in the third graphical zone, and the PPI is a automatically calculated from the formula and the collected data.

Abstract: Embodiments provide for a handheld device with a unified desktop for integrating the functionality of the handheld device with a larger computer system. When connected to a peripheral display and/or a display of the larger computer system, the handheld device provides a unified desktop displayed across the screen(s) of the handheld device and the peripheral display. The unified desktop unifies the functionality provided by the larger computer system and the handheld functionality, e.g., communication applications (e.g., phone, SMS, MMS). A user can seamlessly interact with applications, e.g., open, move, close, receive notifications, on the unified desktop whether the applications are displayed on the screens of the handheld device, or the peripheral display of the larger computer system.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for a dynamic data display that includes a linear time bar with indents and a handle capable of being manipulated by a user. In one example, the method includes one or more of displaying the time bar within a user interface which includes a plurality of indents representing a plurality of intermediate time units arranged between first and second numerical values, and a handle disposed over an indent of a currently selected time unit, displaying graphical modules via the user interface, wherein the graphical modules comprise visualizations of data based on the currently selected time unit, detecting, via a user input on the user interface, movement of the handle to a different selected time unit from among the plurality of intermediate time units, and in response to the detected movement, dynamically modifying the graphical modules based on the different selected time unit.

User intent may be determined from a number of different factors associated with the user, a document, and an environment of the user and/or content. Suggestions on content actions such as placement, style, formatting, or extent of content may be automatically made to the user. Suggestions may also be provided based on other factors such as crowd sourcing. In addition to automatic emphasis and connection, content transformation may be enabled prior to consumption after the author has created the content.

Information pertaining to an item is received from a submitter of a listing of the item on a network-based publication system. Metadata pertaining to the information about the item is received from a curator of the information pertaining to the item. A presentation of the information on a curator list is controlled based on the metadata.

Abstract: Implementations use a first device (e.g., an HMD) to provide a CGR environment that augments the input and output capabilities of a second device, e.g., a laptop, smart speaker, etc. In some implementations, the first device communicates with a second device in its proximate physical environment to exchange input or output data. For example, an HMD may capture an image of a physical environment that includes a laptop. The HMD may detect the laptop, send a request the laptop's content, receive content from the laptop (e.g., the content that the laptop is currently displaying and additional content), identify the location of the laptop, and display a virtual object with the received content in the CGR environment on or near the laptop. The size, shape, orientation, or position of the virtual object (e.g., a virtual monitor or monitor extension) may also be configured to provide a better user experience.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for surfacing content related to electronic calendar events are presented. An electronic calendar event library may be maintained. One or more calendar events that meet threshold time criteria in relation to a current time may be identified. One or more rules may be applied to the identified events to determine whether contextual information and/or actions should be surfaced in relation to those events. In some examples, an event priority score may be calculated for each of the identified events. Contextual information and/or actions associated with events with event priority scores that exceed a threshold value may be surfaced. The contextual information and/or actions may be prioritized based on the event priority scores.

Abstract: A cellular telephony device operatives to receive map data via a cellular network map data, and causes a region of a map having one or more selectable map elements to be displayed in a display in accordance with the map data. The cellular telephony device then causes selectable map element information to be displayed in the display in response to detecting a selection of one of the selectable map elements. In response to detecting a selection of the selectable map element information, the cellular telephony device sends, to a private network file server via the cellular network, a request for an electronic file document associated with the selectable map element information. The cellular telephony device then receives, via the cellular network, the file contents information corresponding to the request for the electronic file document, and causes at least a portion of the electronic file document to be displayed in the display.
