Abstract: Acoustical panels made of a low density fiberglass core are disclosed. A banding is applied to the edges of the core using a suitable adhesive. The panel can then be covered with paint, a woven fabric or a material impermeable to water and/or the transmission of loose fibers. Also disclosed are techniques for easily modifying such panels in the field for installation.

Abstract: A fire protection collar for one or more conduits penetrating through openings in fireproof partitions such as walls or ceilings. The fire protection collar includes at least two stable, smoke tight, fireproof coverings of a thermally insulating material sealing the space between the outer surfaces of the partition and the exterior surface of the conduit. A filling of either a plurality of sheets or particles of expanded material, with a thermal conductivity of the same order of magnitude as concrete, essentially fills up the space between the coverings, the conduit and the partition. When the fire protection collar is used for heatproof conduits, the filling is in contact with the exterior surface of the conduit. However, when the fire protection collar is used for conduits which are not heatproof, i.e.

Abstract: A plant support for providing support to the branches of a growing plant such as a tomato plant. The plant support comprises a plurality of vertical supports connected or welded to a top horizontal support leaving a remaining open side. The open side of the plant support can be completely or partially closed by integral interconnecting structure of the plant support or by separate structure and/or flexible cord, tape, wire, netting, etc. The construction allows for little or no tapering of the vertical supports in combination with side loading of other units for nesting purposes.
