  • Patent number: 10803439
Abstract: Various embodiments herein each include at least one of systems, devices, methods, and software for automated session closing upon location-sensed departure. Some such embodiments may be implemented at retail outlets (e.g., restaurants, salons, stores, etc.) to automatically charge a customer account for ordered items upon an automated detection of a customer retail outlet departure. One embodiment, in the form of a method performed on a server-based system, includes receiving, via a network from a mobile device associated with a customer account, first data indicating the mobile device has departed a retail outlet. The method then generates, from stored retail session data, a final bill including an amount payable and then charges an amount payable from the final bill to a payment account associated with the customer account.

  • Patent number: 10796295
Abstract: The disclosure relates to systems, methods, and devices for processing payment transactions between a user and a merchant using a messaging bot. In particular, a commerce system allows the user to initiate a communications session with a messaging bot associated with the merchant using natural language. One or more embodiments use natural language processing to analyze messages from the user to the messaging bot, and from the messaging bot to the user, to identify a product and a request to purchase the identified product. Based on the identified product and the request to purchase the product, one or more embodiments initiate a payment transaction on behalf of the user based on a natural language conversation and without redirecting the user away from the communications session. Additionally, one or more implementations provide a payment initiation message from the messaging bot to the user indicating that the payment transaction was initiated.

  • Patent number: 10692145
Abstract: System and methods for pre-marshalling messages in an electronic trading environment are provided. Specifically, pre-marshalling messages allows for client and network devices to create messages in response to a defined first condition. Pre-marshalling messages allows a trading system to do more processing up front before the message is needed and when a second condition is satisfied. Thus, when the message is needed no further or very little processing must be performed to generate and send the message. The client and/or network device may allocate a separate, unused, or under-utilized processing thread to the task of creating pre-marshalled messages. Pre-marshalled messages may be stored in memory at the network device until it is determined that the second condition has been satisfied. Once a pre-marshalled message is sent, the unused pre-marshalled messages that were stored in memory may be deleted or may be overwritten with newly pre-marshalled messages.

  • Patent number: 10453136
Abstract: Described is a method for updating a first computer memory of a first transaction engine that processes transactions of a first topic and a second computer memory of a second transaction engine that processes transactions of a second topic different from the first topic but the transactions involving or updating a common factor. After the first transaction engine processes the transaction, it notifies a separate process affiliated or associated with each of the remaining transaction engines of the execution of the transaction. Each such associated process updates a local shared memory that it shares with the respective transaction engine. A memory master may also be notified of the transactions and their completion and the memory master may maintain state information. In a stock market or other electronically-implemented exchange or bourse context, the transactions may be orders for matching engines in an order book.

  • Patent number: 10409448
Abstract: Multi-dimensional temporal data can provide insight into patterns, trends and correlations. Traditional 2D-charts are widely used to support domain analysts' work, but are limited to present large-scale complicated data intuitively and do not allow further exploration to gain insight. A visual analytics system and method which supports interactive analysis of multi-dimensional temporal data, incorporating the idea of a novel visualization method is provided. The system extends the ability of mapping techniques by visualizing domain data based on a 3D geometry enhanced by color, motion and sound. It allows a compact universal overview of large-scale data and drilling down for further exploration. By customizable visualization, it can be adapted to different data models and applied to multiple domains. It helps analysts interact directly with large-scale data, gain insight into the data, and make better decisions.
