The cuff encircles the patient's limb and applies a level of pressure. The UI presents a protocol symbol from a plurality of protocol symbols wherein each protocol symbol is indicative of a corresponding safety protocol. The controller is responsive to stored pressure levels and stored times specified by the safety protocol, after any adjustments by the user, and operable during the stored protocol time period for maintaining the level of pressure applied by the cuff to the individual patient near the plurality of stored pressure levels at the plurality of stored times. The protocol hazard key is actuatable to end the stored protocol time period while the controller is operable. The protocol safety interlock prevents selection of a second protocol symbol while the controller is operable.

    Abstract: Various systems and methods of deploying an implant to a target location of a body vessel are disclosed. A delivery system can include a delivery tube and a pull tube, the pull tube at least partially disposed within a first lumen of the delivery tube. A link wire with two proximal ends can be welded to the pull tube and a distal end of the link wire can include a link wire loop. A pull wire can extend through the first lumen with a distal end positioned to secure the implant to the delivery system. The pull wire includes a proximal bend positioned around the link wire loop such that the proximal bend is positioned in a proximal direction relative to the distal end of the link wire loop by a slack length. The slack length is effective to prevent premature detachment of the implant from the delivery system.

A detachment system can include a tubular body including a lumen extending therethrough and a distal tube on a distal end of the tubular body. A loop wire can be affixed at a first end to the tubular body and can include a loop opening positioned approximate a distal end of the distal tube. A pull wire can extend through the lumen. A hook wire can extend radially through a sidewall of the distal tube and into the lumen. The hook wire can be positioned around a pull wire portion and tensioned such that the pull wire portion abuts the distal tube and provides frictional resistance between the pull wire portion and the sidewall of the distal tube. The frictional resistance can be effective to inhibit premature detachment of the implant.

The control system monitors a motor performance parameter such as motor speed or motor torque, and when the motor performance parameter approaches a limit of a performance range, the control system adds a low frequency PWM signal to the high frequency PWM drive signal, thereby causing the drive motor to produce a tactile signal that signals to the user that the motor performance parameter is approaching the limit of the performance range.

    Abstract: A medical device for an anastomosis is provided. The medical device distinguishes an inner tubular layer, an outer tubular layer, and a support element defining a longitudinal axis. It further distinguishes two or more independent C-rings distributed and positioned at an acute orientation angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the support element at one end of the support element. The support element and the two or more C-rings are embedded in between the inner and the outer tubular layers. The types of applications one could envision are e.g. a proximal anastomosis, distal anastomosis, or side-to-side anastomoses, in a customized pre-fabricated graft. Embodiments of the invention could also be incorporated into an anastomotic connector device design. Embodiments of the invention could further be envisioned as vascular grafts applications such as Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), dialysis access grafts and peripheral vascular applications.
