Abstract: To provide a compact stiff structure for a roller coaster, main bearing posts (3) are coupled at one end to support elements (1, 35) and at other ends to a closed path track (4) on which passenger cars can move. The track is formed of successive sections which present a spatial figure of varying curvature. These sections form, selectively, passenger loading and unloading sections (22, 23, 24); a hoisting section (8), a descending section (10), in the direction of the travel of the car, downstream of a peak point (9), spiral, S-shaped, and turn sections (20, 21, 50, 51, 52) and, further, a closed loop (17) arranged in, essentially, a vertical plane. The peak (18) of the loop (17) is located below peaks (9, 15) of ascending and descending sections, and the track sections above the loop are coupled to the loop by additional stiff posts (19).
Abstract: A new and improved automatic track switching control apparatus is provided for a switch assembly in a track layout for a lamp-containing model train. The automatic track switching control apparatus includes a first light sensor assembly which is supported by a base and which is located in the vicinity of a switch assembly in the track layout. The first light sensor assembly senses light emitted from a lamp on the lamp-containing model train as it approaches the switch assembly. A signal processing assembly is connected to the first light sensor assembly for receiving the electrical signal representing the approach of the lamp-containing model train to the first light sensor assembly. A switch-flipping assembly is connected to the signal processing assembly for receiving a second electrical signal for controlling switch status of the switch assembly. The signal processing assembly includes a counter assembly for counting first electrical signals provided by the first light sensor assembly.
Abstract: A rerailing device for rerailing a wheel of a railcar or the like which has been derailed due to a spread rail comprising an L-shaped metal bar member including a vertically disposed bar portion and a horizontally disposed bar portion which extends horizontally from the upper end of the vertically disposed bar portion. A vertically disposed flat metal plate is secured to one side of the vertically disposed bar portion and extends horizontally therefrom beneath one side of the horizontally disposed bar portion. The rerailer may be of the left-hand or right-hand type to enable the rerailer to be mounted at either end of a rail joint bar so that the derailed wheel may be brought into engagement therewith and moved upwardly thereonto to retail the derailed wheel.
Abstract: A self-propelled overhead track-mounted moving system includes an elongated support rail attachable to an overhead support structure, a carrier trolley mounted for undergoing movement along the support rail, an actuation unit supported on the support rail and on one side of the trolley, and a drive unit mounted on an opposite side of the trolley and coupled to the actuation unit. The support rail has a pair of top guide tracks and a bottom guide track. The trolley includes a housing having a pair of opposite lateral sides and a pair of front and rear ends.
