Abstract: An oval transmission structure utilizes lower ends of swaying moving shafts at two sides thereof to pivot to front ends of push-pull shafts, whose front portions slope to a determined angle. Rear portions of the push-pull shafts offer treadle frames for treadles to dispose with feet. Rear portions of the push-pull shafts further offer a track frame. An assistant device provides a sliding block with a fixing bolt superimposed at a side of the lower portion of the swaying moving shaft. An attached shaft pivoted to a side of the sliding block connects to an axle bolt of a transmission shaft, whose front end axially connects to a crank, whose rear end serially connects to a track wheel and whose middle determined position disposes a sliding wheel thereunder. The reciprocation brought about by the feet, the two cranks axially trigger the front ends of the two transmission shaft for achieving a relative oval action.
Abstract: A training method in which training coordinator device is in communication with a training transducer integrated in an exercise article. The training coordinator device receives training schedule data, for example, via an internet link, and uses this schedule to prompt and encourage a user in performing training activities in a real time and persistent manner defined in the training schedule by means of a user interface which may take the form of an LED array. The training coordinator device monitors training activities by signals from a suitably adapted training transducer, which may be integrated in an exercise article such as a bicycle etc. Information concerning the user's training activities may be published via an internet link for access by both the user and medical professionals, who may also be the source of the training schedule.

Abstract: An apparatus and method provide an elastic resistance to a free-range of motion of a user. A cord running through a pulley and connected at either end to handles permits assisted resistance control (ARC) and a leverage advantage. In ARC, release by an anchor hand, still maintaining a load, may provide consistent or reduced force on the other, active, hand. One bodily member, such as a hand, may selectively halt and move as an “anchor” member, thereby simultaneously exercising itself and exerting control over another “active” bodily member operating in a “free range of motion.” Thereby, motion of the active hand may continue throughout a range desirable for a physical therapy regimen, a sporting activity, a work activity, or the like. A full range of motion of a bodily member and all supporting portions of the body is possible, without excessive stress or strain on joints due to a mismatch of position and load common to prior art systems.
Abstract: A jump rope simulator for aerobic and anaerobic exercise having a hand-held unit comprising a handle, a base length connected to the handle, and one or more concatenated extension lengths attached to the base length. To exercise, the user grasps one or two units, imitates the motions of swinging a conventional jump rope, and jumps up and down, but there is no risk to the user of tripping over a rope as with a conventional jump rope. If the user desires, two units may also be linked together with an easily attachable connector to form a device similar to a conventional jump rope. A user can quickly convert between the two configurations of the jump rope simulator.
