Abstract: A tire with a radial carcass reinforcement and a tread reinforcement formed of at least three plies of cables is improved due to the fact that the tread reinforcement is formed of two plies of cables having a very low elongation and forming angles of 50.degree.-70.degree. with the longitudinal direction of the tire and of two plies of elastic cables forming angles of 5.degree.-15.degree. with the longitudinal direction of the tire.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to a machine and method of adhering a can opening key to a container and the article formed by such method and machine. More specifically, this invention pertains to the taping of a can opening key to a can body wall by means of a continuous motion high speed machine for applying a polymeric film carrying an adhesive on a surface thereof.
Abstract: Tire filling material having high resilience produced by curing a mixture of(a) a polyoxypropylene polyol having an OH equivalent molecular weight of 900-1,800 and a functionality of 2-4,(b) a polyisocyanate, and(c) a plasticizerin the presence of a catalyst where the equivalent ratio (NCO/OH) of isocyanate groups in component (b) to hydroxyl groups in component (a) is from 0.8-2.0 and the amount of component (c) is 10-200 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component (a).
Abstract: Lamination of plastic film and shaped metal substrates is carried out by a pair of rolls which comprises one heat-resistant roll having a hollow for receiving at least a forward edge of the shaped metal substrate, on at least one of the surfaces of the roll. A laminated product having no defect or crease of the plastic film can be obtained.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire having a protect rib at its sidewall portion is disclosed. This protect rib includes an articular part for absorbing a tension strain caused on the outer surface of the protect rib when the tire is deformed under loaded condition.
Abstract: A safety wheel designed so that when air sealed within a tire is lost, the vehicle may be supported by a flat protector and bead stopper members in place of air pressure within the tire. The safety wheel comprises a split rim, a tubeless tire mounted on the split rim, and a flat protector of an annular configuration. The flat protector is divided into a plurality of circular protector elements whose opposed opposite ends are connected with each other through the bead stopper members adapted to restrain relative movement between the bead portions of the tire and the split rim.
Abstract: A pneumatic tire having a highly durable tread of wide width and having a side cut resistance, a cut through resistance of tread and an improved high-temperature durability of tread is obtained by limiting the width of the main belt based on the tread width and limiting the crown radius of the tread based on the tire diameter.
Abstract: A tire with a radial carcass reinforcement anchored in each bead and with a crown reinforcement formed of four crossed working plies forming an angle of between 10.degree. and 45.degree. with the longitudinal direction of the tire is improved due to the fact that the working plies form a block of two superimposed pairs of plies of crossed cables, the plies of the first pair forming opposite angles equal to .beta. and the plies of the second pair forming opposite angles equal to .alpha., .beta. being greater than .alpha., the difference .beta.-.alpha. being at least equal to the value of the expressionh sin (.beta.+.alpha.

Abstract: A tire/wheel assembly comprised of (A) a pneumatic tire axially mounted on a centered, wheeled rim, said assembly having attached therein a receptacle containing a coolant composition comprised of water and a low molecular weight polyethylene glycol, and (B) means for releasing said coolant composition onto the inner surface of said pneumatic tire. The invention has a particular purpose of inhibiting or retarding a rapid rate and temperature build-up caused by pneumatic tire being at least partially inflated primarily due to a reduction in its inflation pressure.
