  • Patent number: 4597514
Abstract: Gates for sliding gate valves in which refractory elements are cemented within metal enclosure trays include an inner refractory member that contains the metal pour opening and an outer refractory member that surrounds the inner member. Only the inner member in each gate is designed to be contacted in service by molten metal and is replaceably secured in the tray which have apertures for access of tooling used to displace the inner member out of the tray when replacement of the member is required.

  • Patent number: 4526292
Abstract: A chest for storing, warming and dispensing ampules of medicants such as novocaine. In addition, provision is made for storing the hypodermic needles and the hypodermic syringes separately from the ampules of medicants so that the hypodermic syringes, the hypodermic needles and the ampules of medicants all are stored in orderly fashion. In particular, the chest includes a number of apertures for receiving therein the hypodermic syringes so that the hypodermic syringe can be easily selected for use. The chest includes two covered compartments which have trays removably stored therein. The hypodermic needles can be stored in one of the two trays and ampules of medicants such as novocaine or the like can be stored in the other one of the two trays. In addition, each of the two compartments is formed to receive a number of the ampules and to convey these ampules to a dispensing mechanism which is actuated simply by pressing a handle at the front of the chest to individually dispense the ampules.

  • Patent number: 4519530
Abstract: A self-closing dispenser device having a generally rigid valve support with a two-way passageway for dispensing in one direction and return air flow in the other direction, a diaphragm on one side of the valve support, a valve member on the other side of the valve support, porting in the diaphragm, a valve stem connected to the diaphragm member and extending through the two-way passageway, and having a valve closure surface and a dispensing opening in the valve member, normally closed by the valve closure surface and movable outwardly for ejection of material, and the valve stem and closure surface being movable inwardly away to permit re-entry of air.

  • Patent number: 4505407
Abstract: A base supports a hopper for the storage of the particulate material to be dispensed in measured amounts. A stationary discharge tube in place in the base defines an opening for the entry of hopper stored material. A control tube is slidably mounted within the discharge tube and defines a second opening which upon control tube elevation registers with the discharge tube opening to admit material flow into the control tube. Said control tube carries, in a removable manner at its lower end, a measuring tube which is interchangeable with other measuring tubes, each of a different length, to enable dispensing of various amounts of material from a measuring chamber defined by the joined tubes. An O-ring couples the control tube and the measuring tube in a removable manner. The control tube additionally includes an insert or plug shaped member so as to prevent bridging and voids in the particulate measured.
